Likes
- I liked the environment of the college so far. The campus is huge. There are lot of opportunities for the students. Extra curriculum activities are incorported.
- A student has an opportunity to make his career in sports, theatre and studies as well. Each department held their own fest every year.
- One can also move out to abroad for higher studies if they perform well in their semesters.
Dislikes
- The things which I disliked is the way of educaing students. This is the common problem with the schools and colleges all over india.
- We have a traditional way of teaching students which is not effective any more. The main obejctive should be towards the learning and adapting things accordingly.
- The highlight is again with the indian schools and colleges is that there is no cricket team for womens.
Course Curriculum Overview
The improtant aspect for this particular course of mass media has been really great. I learnt a lot. There are different segments of the society that we get to know when we are studying the course. Also, it gives you a detail in reference to the news media. The details are much more relevant when it comes to the struture of the course and the fundamentals of the course subject that is the news production. The command of the language alongwith the pattern and fundamental understanding of the news mediums. The news mediums are print and electronic in nature.
Placement Experience
There are internship placement for my course. As you know it is a bachelor course and one has to understand the concept of the work before getting it done. The degree and the name of the college matters alot in the market.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is very less. It is a central university. The annual fee of the course is around Rs.7500 including all the charges. The scholarships are also available for the students. The application form is supposed to be filled and submitted in the college office. There are placements in reputed companies. The student gets the opportunity to finish his/her last semester in abroad as per the performance in the previous semesters.
Campus Life
Miras is one of the biggest national level fest happens every year in Jamia Millia Islamia. All kind of activities happens be it drama, music, dance, debate and alot more. There are libraries with thousands of bokks available for the student.
Admission
The admission process is very simple. Every year in the month of march, the application form releases. There is an entrance exam happens every year and on the basis of the performance, the student gets the admission. For graduation, there are an objective questions with negative marking. For preparation, the student can visit www.jmi.ac.in. Afetr visiting the website, you will find the options for entrance syllabus. You have to follow the description and prepare for the entrance accordingly. You get 3 hours for the entrance examination. There are different examniation centres present all over India. The problem with entrance examination which I xcam across is that there is no arrangment for the parents or relatives those who come with the student.
Faculty
The faculty has been excellent so far. The idea of teaching is wonderful. There are no restrictions while interacting with the faculty. Rather it leads to great impression on the faculty while the student approaches.
