Likes
- The college provide enough facilities for an mbbs student. The faculties are very supportive in study related matters and they are very experienced individuals in this field. We are getting more than enough clinical exposure for our studies.
- The infrastructure of the college is really nice and it gives a pleasant feeling whenever we go there. The quality of the student circle here is also great. College is in the centre of the city and hence connectivity is not at all an issue.
- Along with studies college also support extra curricular activities. The college union is very much involved in student matters and they are promoting arts and sports activities of students.
Dislikes
- College doesn't have a proper waste management system the students are finding that very difficult to handle
- College need to develop a bit more in terms of lecture halls, toilets and auditoriums considering the new nmc guidelines.
- Hostel buildings are very old and they need renovations.
Course Curriculum Overview
The new ug curriculum of mbbs was implemented in 2019 and there are still confusion regarding the proper execution of the new curriculum. However the new curriculum is emphasized more on improving the clinical skill of students along with theoretical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
One year of internship is compulsory in the college. We get the opportunity to work as a medical practitioner in different departments of the hospital and it is a great opportunity in terms of clinical exposure.
Fees and Financial Aid
College fee is 26000 per annum. It is the only fee that college collect from the studnets and it doesn't show any hike since i took admission. The government provide scholarship aid to students. College provide stipend for interns
Campus Life
There are different arts and sports festivals conducted by the university. Studnets are actively involved in such activities in the college and college union also conducts batchwise arts and sports activities. Along with that differt clubs function in college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room accomodates 3 persons and it may vary according to the size of the room. The mess is maintained by students and it provides a good menu at reasonable rate. The registration process of the hostel is really easy and it is very much affordable
Admission
Eligibility of the course is qualifying neet ug examination.Exam is conducted by the national testing agency and it is conducted annually mostly during the month of may and the application for the exam usually comes on the month of January.
Faculty
The faculties of the college are all qualified individuals and the classes are really helpful for the studies. The student to faculty ratio is a problem since one batch constitue of 250 students enough faculty is not there no provide enough attention to all students. But all the teachers are quite approachable and they are ready to help anytime when ever we need one.
