- Congested College Campus. No free space or things like ground where students can sit and relax
- No attached sports ground. It is really important to take care of these aspects
- Senior Junior Interaction is somewhere very less unlike other colleges where they interact more frankly
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the curriculum for ECE matches to what is required to work in the domain. Some improvements can be done regarding inclusion of more computer subjects or introducing some subjects earlier. From 3rd yr, there are alternatives to choose from. In some cases the alternatives both are important CS subjects and can be included and some subjects which are neither interesting nor important can be replaced
Placement Experience
From 6th Sem, students become eligible for placements. The college brings some good companies as well as mass recruiters in the campus for placements. Some major companies that come are - Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Capegemini, Oracle etc. The offerings depend on company to company. Although a majority get selected in mass recruitment companies, some grab really good packages from other companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Complete Cost of 2021-2025 batch is 5,60000 INR / 4yrs. I don't know the exact amount but I have heard the semester fees has increased from 70,000 in the following years. This is just course fees, hostels and other services etc cost separate. There are financial assistance and scholarship programs for financial weak background students
Campus Life
The overall experience with campus life is not good for me. The campus is solely 3 different buildings in 3 different locations of salt lake, and there is no campus life as we understand. There is no attached playground, no free space inside the campus where students can come under the fresh air and interact with each other in a healthy manner Classrooms are good, recently in ECE department the classrooms and some labs got AC approved. So comfort is not an issue. The college library is very very well equipped. It's large, consists of many computers and has a vast book collection College conducts 2 major festivals in a year. 1 is Tech and another one is more of entertainment fest
Admission
The college takes admission through both JEE Mains and WBJEE exam. Apart from it, they have their own exam also named IEMJEE. I got admission through both Mains and WBJEE. The admission process is smooth and like other colleges only if you have valid documents
Faculty
I can talk about my department. Most of the faculty members are well qualified and well knowledgable. A good portion of them are good eductors too, an aspect where most of the private colleges lag behind
