Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Agriculture is the booming sector of india. No industry can replace the agriculture sector. Due to its massive growth in advance agriculture i decided to take admission in thus course. One good thing is about this course that it is not an hypothetical course it provides real time application & uses to students everyday. Some professor are too good in teaching because of their experience University follows semester pattern. Exams are not so hard. Only students need to self study for clearing the exams. Colleges is lacking in basing infrastructure like good labs, smart classrooms, sports complex. These things need to be change.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Colleges provide 100% internship to its students. From 2nd year onwards every student need to complete its 1 month or 4 month internship from various agricultural institutes. Students need to complete 1 internship every year after passing 2 semester. Colleges provides 3000rs for every internship. Every students need to complete their last sem project to pass the degree. Projects & training are necessary part of the curriculum.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are not any tution fee increase policy. It is constant throughout the degree. Here complete cost of education is so less. Maximum 42k per annum is required to finance the education. It also changes according to students based on their state & category, etc. There are different scholarship or financial aids are provided by government. Which can be easily claimable by students through government portals. Maximum scholarship provide by government is 36k per annum. Campus has no such placement. In most cases only 10% students was placed at avg package of 4lpa.

Campus Life

3.5

Colleges generally organise various programmes time to time which includes tech fest, get together, ganeshotsav, Shivaji jayanti, sports day, etc. every year. These are completely organised by students which boost the interaction & team work. Dr. Pdkv has the largest agricultural library in Maharashtra where thousands of books are present. There are labs but in bad condition. Students rarely uses these labs. Every year University organize khel mahotsav within the university. There are also different social group run by students which impacts students life in a positive way.

Admission

Eligibility of course is change according to various disciplines but most common is PCMB. Any student with PCM or PCMB in class 12th can take admission in Dr. PDKV through two different entrance examination that is ICAR & MHA-CET. Students need to qualify these exams with good score to take admission. Anyone can find course details on University respective sites. There is small benefits for category students during admission. Frequency of exam is within six months which includes mid, practical & sem end theory examination. Difficulty level is not so hard. Admission process is not so critical.

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is good. Every batch of Dr. Pdkv contains minimum 60 & maximum 120 students depends on different colleges within the university. Most faculty's are well qualified. Mostly are PHD holders. But HODs didn't take time to students. Students can interact teachers anytime within college hours. Anyone can approach professor easily.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT.
