Course Curriculum Overview

2

Curriculum is on point, but just on paper, not in reality, they just teach you old old things and effect to get a job in this competitive field, so it's won't be wrong to say, curriculum is useless, yes there's one benefit, you can get good grades just by studying one or two nights before the exam, need not to study the whole sem, I've done it easy, some profs have good methods of teaching but some don't even care what they're teaching, if you're getting it or not, they just complete their so called syllabus and move on, some of them don't even know what they're teaching, so not very good at this front too.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placement scenario at my college is disappointing. Few companies visit, and those that do often offer low salaries. The placement cell isn't very effective, lacking the necessary connections and strategies to attract better opportunities. Many students feel disheartened and worry about their future prospects. Despite having talented and hardworking students, the support and opportunities we receive do not reflect our potential. This situation urgently needs improvement to ensure better career outcomes for everyone.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is the point where Jamia shines, the yearly fee in my course is 15000rs, yes, a bit unbelievable but it's true, everything included, perks of a central university. Lots and lots of scholarships are available, just have to avail. Campus employment opportunities are mid, companies do come, there's a placement cell too, but not the big names, small companies come, but they all give useless CTCs, you cannot even survive in that amount, so not so good on the placement front.

Campus Life

3.5

Our campus life has its perks. The campus itself is spacious and green, offering a pleasant environment to roam around. Being in Delhi adds to the fun, with plenty of affordable activities to enjoy. The library is big and well-equipped, a great resource for students. We have sports tournaments like football and cricket, adding to the excitement. There are various societies, though they could be more engaging. Overall, despite its flaws, the campus offers a lively and enjoyable experience.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel room has three beds and houses three roommates. It only has fans, with no cooler or AC ducts. While the menu looks good on paper, the food quality is mediocre in reality. However, it is affordable and includes non-veg meals at the same price. The locality is decent and inexpensive, but cleanliness is a concern. Despite these drawbacks, the overall living conditions are manageable.

Admission

You have to appear for jee mains exam, they consider the mains score for admission, application form is available at jmi site, and has a nominal fee around 300, and further discount for girls but not sure, but the main flaw of the process is that it's not digital, they publish a list, then give time to students to take admission and the process is offline, then they publish next list of the remaining seats and the process go on, it's a very useless, inefficient process, it can take upto 3 months. The lists just keep coming till very late.

Faculty

2

Some of the faculty is good, friendly and know their stuff but mostly they don't, they don't know their subject, again here comes the politics, teachers those who try to work are forced to not do the work otherwise everybody would have to work na, you cannot complain about them to anyone as they all are somehow connected, some of them are friends from bachelor's, some of them are alumnis of Jamia, nobody would take any action, some profs holds grudges against you and carry with it till the last sem, they're even rude many times, they won't listen to you, they won't help you, even they don't know what's the procedure of things, they would keep telling you to go here and there, and at last you'll lose your will and give up. But not everyone is like that but ya many are.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
