Course Curriculum Overview

4

So the course curriculum is a bit hard to explain especially the commerce one. The first thing is our course include Maths and most of the students opted for the B.COM(Hons.) course had never studied maths in their schools , it's just that CUET allowed this new rule of choose either Accountancy or Mathematics for admission so it's hard to study maths now. Even though every other subjects are very helpful to get a depth knowledge about the commerce or it's helpful to every student who wants to be a CA or aiming to go into the Business Sector. Many of the subjects can be helpful in life as we know more about the thing we do in business and more calculations. My course is also helping me in valuing my money more and also in how i can earn it and also how to bargain alongside how to save it. But it still needs improvement as some of our subjects exams are hard but some are easy enough that everyone can clear them with ease.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many internships offered in my college but most of them doesn't provide stipend , they just provide work experience for the students. Also we have a Placement cell society in our college and they provide more internships than the college just because they get internships opportunities from many companis. So the internships which came up by the P-Cell and the companies have an average stipend of 5k to 6k alongwith letter of recommendation from the company and so much work ecperience. Delhi University does provide an Internship for all the colleges which comes under it and they provide the internship of getting the role of the VIce Chancellor and we can even earn a stipend of over 10k in that internship. But people gets selected according to the CGPA or Marks of their Last semester. Even our college solely provided an internship where we can help in the admission procedure for them to get the work experience of it even though it doesn't include any type of stipend

Placement Experience

3

I will tell this information according to the things i know and according to the google's data about my college. According to me we are only available for placements after we have completed the course otherwise the other placements are just for ingternships. The companies visited were Willis Tower Watson , EY GDS , Axis Bank and many others. The highest package the students got offered was about 20 to 30 LPA. The Last year average package the enrolled student was about 7 LPA. The Percentage of students who got placements was about 40%. Mine plans after getting the degree are versatile , i may apply for many companies, may seek a good placement or i'll just give myself a year or wo to give my best to clear an Government Job exam. In Conclusion , the placements in my college has an average type of results and if no campus placements is offered one can just go for an master degree in any other college or seek any other job online. Like most of the students do.

Fees and Financial Aid

FEE STRUCTURE The thing is every year our yearly course fees changed and every other courses too. In First year it was 18745 but In second year it increased by 4000 Rs. and was above 22000Rs. But still as compared to any other colleges , our college still have much less fees. It's almost 1/4th of every private college Fees. Our course doesn't have specified the fees into differnet types like tution or service , it just have the full fee of almost 18k to 40k depends upon the course. Scholarships We do get Scholarships every year , we also get many types of fee schemes which can help students to pay their fees easily. The only thing required for most of the schems or scholarships are an good grade or an below average family income. Employment Opportunity We do get internship in our college but it'll be a rare one of they provide stipend alongwith it cause most of the internships here are just for work experience and nothing else.

Campus Life

5

According to me , the only negative thing which concerns me most is our college's small campus otherwise my college has a good infrastructure including things like AC Rooms, GYM , Hostels , Canteen , A badminton court , a small ground, 3 floors of Library. So If we are talking about the annual fests then our college never had one but the year 2024 was like the first one which got a fest and it was a memorable one cause it was of 3 enjoyable days along with DJ Night and a Star night. Also our college does have a good tech facility , there's Projector Screenings , Lecture theatres and many other things. If we talk about the sports and extra curricular activity then even if our college doesn't have proper grounds and facilities still the students are ready to give their all. One of an Old student won at the olympis in Archery and a girl won nationals in Fencing our college. Also Students in my college does run many clubs , societies and social media pages.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

So i've lived my 1st year in the Hostel so i know almost everything about how the hostel thing works. -> First of all , to apply for hostel , we can simply just go to the main website of the college like any other college and after getting shortlisted just after filling the form every year we can apply for it. -> So, the facilities they provide is a good big enough single room with two beds cause the whole hostel is of double person room and not less and not even more than that. -> The room includes 2 Almirahs ,2 cupboards ,2 study tables, 2 chairs ,2 Lamps ,2 drawers and a balcony for all , and an attached Washroom with each room with Hot+Cold water. They do have have a common Washroomon on each of 7 floors of Hostel and Free WIFI facility too. -> Talking about the Meal quality ,it's average and adjustable but can't say about the hygiene cause one time the food affected us. -> The hostel was not that affordable according to me as the fees was above 150k per year which is too much.

Admission

The Admission process was easy for me just because i've searched alot about everything. Let me tell you everything you need to know: First of all if you've already decided about what you're going to do in future and have decided which course you want to opt to then half of the work is already done. If you haven't just take your time or ask for suggestions fromm others or research. Secondly , As i say about my college which comes under Delhi University , it takes the Exam of CUET and based upon its marks hey give the admission. CUET consists of many subjects and courses according to the college or program you want to apply. You can find the Link on Google for the CUET exam , the application fees and dates changes accordingly every year. Next they do give according to their CSAS system which is a seat allocation system and it includes giving seats to students according to their marks and according to their Reservation benefits. NO improvement needed currently for this

Faculty

4.5

The faculty-to-student ratio in my college is almost 1:18 . Even though we have a less ratio of teaching faculty still it is worth it. Especially in my course of B.COM(Hons.) , the faculty is so good. They know what they are teaching , they know how to handle students correctly , they know when to teach and when to stop , when to joke and when to say let's be serious. Their way of teaching is very understandable and if we are talking about mentorship then our teachers are so good in that too. We do see them interacting with students in college and even when they are at home, everyone approaches them whenever need by call or a text.

Other Applied Colleges

Shri Ram College of Commerce - [SRCC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Because i did not upgraded my college during the seat allocation phase of Delhi University , otherwise i might have got this college cause i got good marks in my CUET exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
