Course Curriculum Overview

3

Firstly, the decision to choose this course was not mine, it was my parents and my sir through whom I got admission, but when I started studying this course, I started getting interested in it and I started liking coding. It was good to read and listen about the new technologies of the future and to know new things. My interest increased although I did not get a placement but it is okay. If I try on my own, it will happen, I think so.

Placement Experience

1.5

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. I didn't remember the number of companies but some are like smartdata, collabora, fendal, Massycoda, abco and some are like just a new startups companies and in ending of last semester there are more Institutes than companies. Offers made i don't remember the exact values but nearly 40% of students I think are placed now and working. Other are either joined any placement assistance Institutes or others are doing higher studies or others are looking for jobs like me. I think as per my knowledge the highest package was 7lpa not sure exactly and average package is I think nearly 2lpa not sure. While completing the degree I was thinking that I will get atleast 1 job either it is for 1lpa but atleast one job all I thinking this after looking the hardwork of college for students future and placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being in my category, I did not have much tension about the fees, I just had to pay the exam fees and if some activities were happening and I was participating in them then there was nothing else apart from that. Although the fees of other students was around 80k but since we were in this category, we used to get scholarship which we have not received on time till date, because of which even after passing out from college, our documents are still in the college. I have not got the degree even after getting it, meaning it is in college only. On this the college says that if we need the documents then we should wait for the scholarship to arrive, otherwise we should pay the remaining fees of 1-2 years ourselves by us only.

Campus Life

3

Yes there was a student group for social activities like src, rotract and all. They are the only people I think who arranged all the activities, sports, inter college competitions, hacathons and festivals in campus. There are many events which are conduct by src, rotract members in which the non rotract or src members can participate and after which they can be able to get a certificate or every events they participated in for the last day of submission where the students have to submit the in-house, outhouse, project competition and many more certificates without which the students are not able to clear there submission process.

Admission

I had given the entrance exam and my score was around 68+, I remember that as far as I can see. And the admission process had to be filled out by going to any college online during our time. Then through the cap round we got college admission and got a number. I do not know anything about reservation but everyone went through the exams well and the atmosphere there was also good as it should be for exams.Regarding the admission process, I would just like to say that some teachers should not take decisions regarding the choice of students on their own will, they should also ask the student which college he wants and which field he wants to take. The minds of parents should not be refreshed, especially those parents who do not know much about today's technologies.

Faculty

2.5

The faculties were good the way they taught, I don't think it would be too bad as I did not get to live much of the college lif due to covid lockdown for 3 years of our college, it can also be said that I did not get much chance to know the teachers. Whatever I could understand in the last year was good, that means I can remember a good experience and speak about it.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
