VNIT at a glance

Some part of the curriculum is outdated. But due to NEP it has been upgraded now. Also professors try there best to make students updated about the latest technologies. As well as they focus on practical's knowledge also. There are two exams in a semester, the mid sem and the end sem. The class timings are from 8 am to 1 pm with few slots which are free.

A good opportunity of internship is provided here. Companies like Oracle, de Shaw, Hilti, Citi, Wells Fargo, Accenture, NatWest, Texas Instruments, Google, fibe, Swiss re and many others come for internships. Various IT and core projects are given to students during there internship.

The College provides good opportunities for internships as well as placements. The placement started from the early July of your 4th year. Companies like oracle, Citi, Bajaj, Exxon Mobile, GSK, NatWest, Accenture, TCS, Mahindra & Mahindra, Swiss re, DE Shaw, Hilti, Wells Fargo, MathWorks, Delloite, Google, Larsen & Tubro, Addverb Technologies and many other companies, around 230-250 companies visit the campus, with highest packages being 64 lpa and average package being 10 lpa. Most of the students get placed by the end of the placement cycle. Even if some are not placed they are enrolled in the next placement cycle until they are placed.80-90% students get placed. I will do job for at least 2 years after the completion of my degree.

The tuition fees for each semester is around 66,850. There is a elders refund policy for OBC students and EWS students based on the amount of family income. College provides a good opportunity for internships as wells as placements, with companies truly satisfied by the skills of students.

There are various events like: Aarohi the cultural fest usually around September, Axis the technical fest around March and Karwaan the literary fest around April. Other than these there are various club activities also and an IG and DG annually with freshers party too. The library is huge ! Better than any other college. It provides a wide number of resources and books. The classes are also good equipped with green board as well as smart board and some quipped with ACs. The sports complex is also very good here. There are various badminton courts, tennis courts, table tennis courts, football ground, cricket ground, basketball court, handball court, volleyball court, swimming pool and other indoor sports like chess, yoga, carrom, darts and many more. There is also a social club here knows as Prayas, helps the needy people.

Need to clear JEE Mains for admission and no other exam is required. The admission process is through centralized board. The time due to covid the application process was online and now it's offline so can't comment on offline process, but it's easy only not very difficult or hectic. There are two exams per semester with mid sem being moderate and end sem being tough.

Each professor is assigned a group of 15 students (aka faculty advisor). This helps in regulating the queries of students and reducing the gap between student and the professor. The faculties here are highly qualified and have years of experience.
