Likes

The placements are good and the fee is normal and affordable for everyone. Faculties are good .
Faculties are experienced and all are PhD holders
Hostel fee is 33300 per semester which is normal in private colleges

Dislikes

if your attendance is less than 75 percent than you are not eligible for sit in end term exams also here is very restriction in campus areas.
This campus is very far from city like - Chandigarh, Solan .

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is design to grab opportunity in various field and it is updated in every year. Engineering curriculum is design to solve real world problems. Teaching methods of faculties are under stable. Difficulty level is moderate like not much hard and not easy. Frequency of exams is 4 in per semester

Placement Experience

The eligibility of placement is from 6 semester and you have no backlog. Companies like - scaler, Oyo, Tata, Infosys, HCL, Tech Mahindra and startups visit for placements. the average package is 7 lacs and the highest package is 22 lac which is give by scaler. The percentage of placements are 70 to 80 percent. my plan is doing job after get degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is total 9 lacs (included hostel fees). There is no scholarship but if you are not pay fee than they gives loan option. Fee is increasing in every year around 5 to 7 percent. There is no hidden charges. Academic fee is 6 lac and hostel fees is 3 lac.

Campus Life

Campus life is not very good. Here one is annual fest - Emerge which is conduct in every year. Libraries are good and it is wide range of books. There is a sports club and for the extra activities there are various student club like- dance club, music club, technical clubs(redhat, CSI). Many student run their own club for fun.

Hostel Facilities

Facility are average. There is Laundry facilty to wash cloths and the meal is giving in mess for the four times . Meal like - pav bhaji, chole bhature, Sada paratha, Aloo paratha, milk, tea, cold coffee etc. Registration fee is 5000 and this is refundable. There is some PG near by college but hostel is good.

Admission

The eligibility is take to admission is that you have secure 75 percentage in your higher secondory exams and for the engineering you have must give JEE exam. There is 20 percent reservation for the Himachal Pradesh students due to locality in Himachal Pradesh. Take the Admissions in University is easy

Faculty

The faculty -to-student ratio is 1:30. Faculties are well qualified in their fields and all faculties are PhD holders. The mentorship of Faculties is literally good and all have helping nature. Approachability of faculties is easy.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for BML Munjal University before Chitkara university, Baddi. I got a confirmed admission from many colleges like BML munjal university, GNA university, Chandigarh university, etc. I chose this college over other because it was not too costly and crowd is less compared to other private universities.
