Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

25 to 30% of the curriculum is decided by the institute and the rest is followed as of University this is done because our institute VESIT has become autonomous in 2023. The curriculum has potential as there are many projects which is early for computer engineering branch and many project half yearly for information technology branch only this subject helps the students to gain industrial level performance because year the learning is d 100% by the student itself so the college has nothing to do except than mentor the students. Tera various improvements needed in the curriculum but it cannot be change abruptly because of the guidelines given by the University other teaching method is quite good as there is 4 months of academic for every semester and 2 months of semester break. The frequency of exam is quite good as there is a metam test followed by a gap of 1 month for viva/practicals and then a gap of 15 days for the and end sem exam. Now expts of printed rather thn handwritten

Placement Experience

3.5

From semester 6 the students becomes eligible for campus placement the top company which recruits in the campus is JP Morgan and chase which offers and annual package of 19.95 lpa. Every year they take around 10 students. Around 50% of the students get place my plan after getting the degree is directly get to any job via on campus placement or via of campus placement. Do other company that visit the campuses Accenture ,CarWale, Force point, Intellectual Broker, Deloitte , ICICI and some core company for Electronic and telecom branches. The placement of IT branch and computer science branch is good along with AIDS branch. By the placements for rest of the branch is ridiculously poor. Hardly 30% students gets place in lower branch.. My plan is to straight up take up a job through the college placement or by of campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee details is 1.25 lakhs for every year for general. As of now there is no increase in the fees. The complete cost for a four year degree in bachelors of engineering of computers will be 5 lakhs. There are many financial AIDS available to the students for academic fees and hostel fees, which can potentially cover 25% - 50% of the amount. After the recession in 2023 the rates of employment in this college has drastically come down as only about 50% of the students where placed in the institute.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many fest naming some of those are the technical fest Praxis held in March, annual cultural fest ILLUSION in Jan and UTSAV in March. For freshers exclusively there is fest Prarambh In the month of Aug - September. All the reference books of all the subjects which are being taught in the institute are available in the library. The library issues the books for a maximum of one week of period and after with there is a fine of rupees 2 for everyday. The library also has newspapers and magazine updated every month and day. The availability of IEEE research paper and journal in the E-library of vesit website. Basic facilities are included in classroom such as projector blackboard etc. NO AC though . There is hell out of extra curricular activities you can be part of so many different club such as codecell, questIT ,entrepreneur CELL, Rotaract club, VESLang, VESLit and many more , you can even form a club with the written permission of principal . For Sports SPURTI (Sept-March)

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is over priced to be honest. The facilities which the offer are minimal like cupboard table chair bed. They also provide washing machine for laundry but there are also house help who will clean your clothes at a bare minimum wage of 300 rupees for a month. Apart from this if you pay more money like around 2.4 lakh per annum then you can get a Deluxe AC room which is fabulous it is modern and it has its own attached toilet and bathroom. ( Limited seats only ) Four time meal is offered in the hostel the quality of meal is pretty good if we have any complaint we can even change the caterer in the next term. Registration process for hostel is entirely online via the visit website and the hostels are available only for 2 years for boys and for girls it is for entire duration of the course that is 4 years Especially for boys after 2 year they need to find a PG nearby the campus which is much more of affordable. I have rented a room in the best localities that is Navjeevan scty

Admission

Mostly students can take admission through the marks or the percentile scored in mhtcet exam and JEE mains exam you will be allocated the college through the cap around of mhtc also it is a Sindhi minority college with 51% of the seat being reserved to only sindhi's and rest according to the normal cast system reservation. The admission process and the payment of fees process is seamless as it is very simple and online and for ACAP round through DD.

Faculty

4

From second year every branch has their own branches . In computer Engineering branch the ratio is 630:30. That is 21:1. The faculty doesn't show any interest in making students market ready as they themselves are out dated. Hardly 3-4 teacher's guide thoroughly that too only to their favourite students or the one which high potential. You can easily approach any teacher via Mail, WhatsApp, call or u can meet them in person

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
