Likes
- They have amazing faculty, most of them are friendly and know the subject well
- Campus is very big and has a lot of facilities
- Food provided in the canteen is very good with very reasonable prices
Dislikes
- Hostel rules are too strict, curfew of 7 is very early and the girls hostel is outside the campus which is a bit inconvenient
- Girls hostel, unlike the boys hostel is run by a different institute hence the rules are varying which seems a bit unfair
- Compulsory attendance of 75% and no acceptance of medical certificate is. The new rule which seems a bit inconvenient
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in cse and hence choose this course, so the curriculum didn't really influence my decision to choose this course.. the curriculum does prepare you for the real world by teaching you multiple languages and algorithms. We have 2 tests known as isa and 1 end sem.. every exam adds equal value to your grade and end sem doesn't really have an extra value/importamce.. exams are fairly okay depending on the subject
Internships Opportunities
Since I haven't completed my 1st year yet I do not have any idea or experience about internships. However companies come for internships in round 6th sem but you can also attend internships off campus
Placement Experience
From semester 7and 8th students will be eligible for placements according to their cgpa Almost 50% gets placed is what the statistics say but I have no means of verifying it. I might sit through placements or to ms
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay 18.10 LPA since I've joined through pessat. Students joining from JEE and KCET or other exams have a lesser fee and students joining through management have a higher fee. every semester lots of scholarships are given to students with 7.5sgpa or more the minimum changes relatively
Campus Life
The culturals aatmatrisha is usually held in April while there are also other festivals which keeps happening.. there are almost always stalls and things happening in the campus which are very fun and engaging. Lots of club for almost every hobby and interest
Hostel Facilities
Laundry services, food, transportation are provided in the hostel. Every room has a fan, bed(without mattress), study tables and chairs and cupboards for each with locks and keys, depending on what you opt for there are attached or common bathrooms. Rooms are 4/3/2/single sharing basics according to your liking. Meal quantity is good and the menu is somewhat the same weekly and special food are provided during festivals however it does get very boring after a while. Hostel price is usually around 1.1L - 1.4l per year (academic)
Admission
I wrote the PESSAT enternace exam, you're eligible for the exam if you have more than 60% in 12th boards and have chosen PCM as your main subjects in 12th. Application forms and fees can be found on the college website. the entrance exam is sorta hard and has a lot of slots and various different timings
Faculty
A first year(sem1-2) class has an average of 65-70 students. In the first year students aren't separated course wise and all subjects are taught commonly.. almost all teachers have a phd in their subject and have a deep knowledge and are very approachable at all times student are able to interact with teachers during classes and during breaks
