Best College for Mechanical Engineering in Punjab.

Overall our college is good. I didn't see any bad things in my college. Yes I don't like the food here but the independence to cook food solves it also. college management is good thats why it is running so smoothly.

I gave JEE mains and my score was 135.

Course curriculam is good here. Syllabus consists all the major topics which are important and also helpful for GATE examinations.

When i came here the condition was not too good for placements. Just before few months of my admission the principal had been changed. In last 3 years the placement rate has been increasd. Now many companies come here with minimum package of 2.5 lakhs per annum. As i am member of college Student Placement Cell so we regularly interact with the companies officials who came here. highest placement package offered which i saw in last three years is 6 lakhs per annum.

In last month (october) four companies came here few are. Compass tecnology (1.8 to 2.5 during training and 2.5 to 4.0 after training)2. Clairvolex (4.0 to 6.0 lakh per annum)

There are three main events1. TEQFEST: it is the technical festival. students from few other colleges also come here for participation. it is a 2 days events which generally organised in month of october. Robowars, Mud Rally, CS etc are the major events.2. SUI GEnris: It is the cultural fest which is generally organised in march month. It is also organised for 2 days. many fun events are organised in cultural festival.3. Annual Sports Meet: this event is Sports meet organised in month of feburary. It also goes for 2 days.

The college is govt established and according to that fee should be less than that we pay. It is feasible as compared to other colleges of punjab. The tution fee is same as compared to other colleges but other charges makes the fee structure lil bit expensive.

College offers scholarship facility to meritorious students. It is about 30,000/- per semester. The scholarship is sponsered by the almunis of the college.

Gender ratio is almost 50-50 in all branches other than mechanical. Infact in CSE branch the no of girls is more than boys. There is a cental workshop in college. There are about 20 to 23 societies in the college.

In first year and second year there is room sharing (3 seats) but for 3rd year and 4th years single rooms are availabe. average rental is 2800/- for 6 months in 1st and 2nd year and about 4000/- for 3rd and 4th year. Mess facility is good here. all hostel

Whenever we need any help we can contact our seniors or go to their rooms anytime. Senior are good and are helpfull. on 17 th october college conducted 8th alumnai meet. In that we have interaction with our alumnai. They told us about current scenario and about trainings also.

As our college is Academic Autonomous thats why college prepares its own exam schedule. So if we have any problem about exam routine we can contact our related faculty members for rescheduling or any other thing.

Faculty members are experienced. In mechanical branch almost teachers are Ph.D's. Overall faculty members are mixture of young and exerienced teachers.
