Entrance Preview
Christ has its own entrance exam for all undergraduate courses. The exam is held just after boards and is conducted in three different cities : bangalore , delhi and kolkata. The exam has three dimensions i.e Written ( general test )Micro Presentations and a Personal Interview.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is Perfectly crafted considering the needs of corporate requirements. The course has a lot of ADD-ON value which includes Mandatory certificate courses , SAP , and other associations.
Internships Opportunities
Yes , there is a good exposure to mandatory summer internships. But the flaw is only one company comes in offering summer summer interns i.e GOLDMAN SACHS. Which apparently picks 200 students out of 2000. The stipend offers is around 15000 RS. But the whole issue is this is just one company.
Placement Experience
The maximum placement offered last year was 10,00,000 for B.com honours by future first. But the average goes around 3-5 LAKHS per annum. There are companies like DE-SHAW and others who offer 8 lakhs plus and if we talk about companies , microsoft , EY , goldman sachs , DELLOITE , KPMG almost all the finance and banking firm come for placements.who so ever sits apparently gets placed at the end of the day.
College Events
There are various fests in different departments major ones like PRAYAS by dept of commerece , ESPIRIT by management studies , INCOGNITO by professional studies.as well various cultural university events like Darpan in the month of july and blossoms in the month of december.infact the participants numbers are generally huge with participants from all over the countries. The best part of christ university is that you name anything , and christ has that may it be dance , debates , tech , MUN.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For B.com Honours it is 90,000 Rs for the first year and 65,000 for the next 2 years but with the opportunities and infrastructure it is all worth, Yes , courses like BBA and BBM are expensive which can cost upto more then 1.5 Lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes , there is a scholarship program by the alumni. The forms for that get out around July . Christ allocates a total amount of about Rs 450 Lakhs for the fee concessions and Scholarships annually.
Campus Life
They are brilliant with almost equal participation in all events. You know actually southern par of the country doesn't really stereotype on gender grounds. There are np hostel parties and scenes but then there is ethnic day which is like an amazing party.as well bangalore has a lot of place to offer. The college is placed right in the middle of the city.there is no intolerance , everyone is equally respected in college. No such outrage against north indians or anyone for that matter.economic status doesn't matter much as the university has a set dress code which makes pretty much to look everyone same.
Hostel Facilities
There are mostly no hostel facilities available.there exists a small hostel with heavy restrictions in campus for girls and similarly for boys but that is just for the master students and the food around college is pretty good there are a lot of canteens
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is pretty strong and the university has been making serious efforts to connect with all of them ever year a get together is organised on 26th of January. I must say the ALUMNI loves Christ.
Exam Structure
Exams follow a semester system which includes :CIA 1 2 3 and 4 that is continuous internal assessments CIA 1 is mostly a written test which includes 20 marks CIA 2 is the midsems which is of 50 marks CIA 3 is the presentations which again includes 20 mark
Faculty
It is ok. Nothing special. Basically the industry faculty is brilliant but the own college professors are no special. They mostly stick to their course plan.
