The IIT BHU CHAPTER

Since I enrolled in mechanical engineering in IIT BHU , the curriculum is still old they still teaches you ED on paper not much more classes of ED on softwares Auto CAD. There are about 3 lab of each subject which is intresting and you enjoy the lab works. The curriculum offers you a two exam which is one of mid sem and other is end sem. The paper is really hard and you have pass the subject otherwise you will F. The passing marks is the average marks of class. There is strict 75% attendance if you below the 75 , ready for the z grade and repeat the course. The one thing I don't like here is if you got failed in any subject either in idd or even sem , you don't have any paper after exam to pass like compartment, you have to repeat the course in the respective odd and even sem

There are lot of companies who visited the campus for internship offered wide range of role like sde , apm, data science, buisness analyst, product role, core engineering,quant, supply chain and others. The stipend offer if range from 20,000 to 3,00,000 . The institute itself offered internship under the professor with some stipend of 2k to 3k. The project may if different industries and drdo project and some govt. Funded project

Since the placement season in IIT start from dec 1, of every year, where a large no. Of company participate in the placement of offer a wide range of package min 6 lpa to 2 cr. All major companies visited IIT BHU for campus placement Google Microsoft Amazon meta blackrock, apt portfolio, jpmc Goldman sach mackinsy and co, raam group, Flipkart, zomto, swiggy, tata, adani, reliance, jio, Airtel , apple , Qualcomm, texus instrumental, samsung, Accenture, bain, bcg , and a lot more than about 400 companies visited each year for placement. About 60 to 80% students are placed and if some are left unplaced then the company visit in april where most of them got placed. My plans after getting the degree is to solve my survival first and then opt for mba

The fee structure is 1,21000 (1,06,000 course fee + 15000 mess) including your hostel mess and course fee for the gen and obc students whose income is more than 5 lakh . The institute provide fee remission on course fee. If your income is less than 1 lakh no fee is required and between 1 lakh to 5lakh 67% fee waviour. And if you belong to SC/ST then no fee is required just pay for mess charge. The institute provide a stipend of 14000 for mtech or idd students whose cgpa is above 8

I completed my 2nd yr in college and I will say ki the best part of college is their club. Where you interact the the peer, senior who will be your mentor guide you , sometimes wo tmhri lete bhi h ????, IIT BHU. Has a wide range of clubs and cell , name a hobby you will find the club in the name of that. Every club has their own fest , like e summit of Ecell, bash of buisness club, kashiyatra of cultural council, aagman of dance, jagriti of social club, spardha of sports council, technex of science and technology councill , MUN, There are a student run body which is scs students counseling services which is mostly devoted to the welfare of students and mental peace There are a lot of books in the library where you can access them easily, almost every book you will find here. The classroom is equipped with charging point where you bring the laptop and do the work, every classroom has projector and well classed sound system. But the thing you will miss is AC.

There are about 13 boys hostel and 4 girl hostel in IIT BHU. The room in first and 2nd yr is 3 seater, where you will get seperate table , chair and bed, there is water cooler and each bathroom is equipped with geyser. And from the 3rd yr will get a hostel full lush green garden just after your door, this is the best part of hostel Now coming to the mess part , the food here in the mess is good 3.5 out of 5 breakfast, lunch and dinner.

First of all if you have to take adm in IIT you have to pass the jee mains exam and then have to appear for the jee adv ,only if you qualify the exam the you are eligible to take adm in IIT BHU through josaa counseling. The institute provide reservation for obc , female both gen and obc ,sc,St gen ews , sc/St, PWD . The jee exam is conducted every year and you have atleast 75% marks in your board and top 10%ile in your respective State board.

The faculty here are all well qualified and the PhD holders from different IITs and top foreign universities. They file a lot of patents every year. A great in the research work. There are about more than 300 faculty members, their approach of teaching is good and sometimes you will get bored by their style of teaching. They will come to class and just started teaching like a robot and took the attendance But at the same time there are some faculty who are a way more supportive and teach very interective

Since in IIT to take admission is soley based on jee adv score , so you don't have to give any interview and gd for admission. To prepare for jee adv you need to solve a great problems if physics, chemistry and maths
