Likes
- The faculty of the university is very helpful and supportive. They make sure you are understanding all the concepts properly and even consider conducting extra classes when needed. They are strict with attendance which I something I personally like.
- The infrastructure of the campus is very pretty. The classrooms are air conditioned and there are washrooms and water purifiers on each floor. There is also an air conditioned library which has flexible timings during the exams for all the students.
- Since I’m pursuing BBA the curriculum of this course is vast . The subjects are quite interesting and are easy to understand and study. The academic pressure is moderate which is a good thing. Our college conducts various workshop for the students.
Dislikes
- I think after completing the first year the university should help students with internships. The faculty can help the students with courses with are to be done in person order to help develop skills for the internship.
- The attendance should be provided to those students who are busy or engaged with conducting some college events.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the course which I'm pursuing is very vast and covers all the topics related to management. The course curriculum has many interesting subjects . The subjects which are taught are moderate level difficult. Each class is of 1 hour for each subject. The subjects are divided into credits like 4 credit course, 2 credit course and more. From second year onwards in BBA you have to choose a specialisation.
Internships Opportunities
As of now our college doesn't offer internship to the first year students so I haven't really gotten the opportunity to work as an intern. But our college often provided us courses which help us develop our skills and practical knowledge for the internship in the coming years.
Placement Experience
Manipal University Jaipur does have a placement cell which helps to provide internships and jobs to the students . You need to maintain a good cgpa or grade in order to sit for the placement. They help the students with their resumes and guide them for the Interview. The students in my course are eligible for placement after the 5th semester. The average placement of my course is 7 lakh per annum. The students who don't sit for placement go for masters mostly.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees for BBA last year was Rs 1.80 lakhs. Our university does provide with the scholarship opportunities to all the students. Financial aids are provided to those students who can't afford the fees , they have to apply for the scholarship online. The student who secure first and second position in the class are also offered some amount of scholarship(not full). There are more types of scholarships which are provided to the students. The college is strictly against bullying, ragging and use of drugs of any such case is found a very strict action is taken against them.
Campus Life
The campus life in Manipal is amazing. You will enjoy to your fullest. The student clubs in Manipal is one of the best part of college. They conduct various events and games. You gain more knowledge and experience if you're in the working team on the clubs. Our college has football ground, basketball and tennis court , badminton and volleyball court etc. It provides great sports opportunities to the students .
Hostel Facilities
The hostel in provided by the college. The hostel is just in front of the college and is known as GHS. It provides triple occupancy, double occupancy and single occupancy rooms. It has a mess which provides all the meals including the evening tea and has flexible timings. It also provides with the facility of gym, outdoor courts and indoor game rooms as well. The hostel campus is huge and has many food outlets . It also provides stationary shop , departmental store, common room to study and laundry to the students. For hostel accommodation you need to apply for it through the college website .
Admission
The eligibility for my course was whoever has scored above 65% in their 12th boards can apply for this course. There was no such entrance written exam for BBA but they did conduct a Personal interview which was online. The application form and details of it are provided on the main website of Manipal. It is very easy to operate the website.
Faculty
The faculty is very supportive and helpful in our university. The teachers are very chill and friendly and it's easy to approach them as they always entertain your doubts. They are strict when it comes to your performance in academics and related to your attendance. You can get detained if you have attendance less than 85% in any one subject. The faculty of commerce and management comes from a good teaching background and they make sure you are understanding all the concepts properly. They even take extra classes when required.
Interview Experience
For my admission they conducted a personal interview which was online where they asked me to introduce myself and asked me a few questions regarding the course and my 12th subjects. You have to pay a certain registration fee on the website and then your interview is conducted after a few days, you'll be informed about the interview a few prior. You can check your result on the website itself .
