- The campus is amidst nature. This, the campus itself provides positivity. The campus has a lot of buildings including a big central library
- The faculty and facilities are great. The staff is very helpful and studies, placements and all is also very good.
- The hostel and the market also provides everything of need. Like the hostel provides a four time meal with healthy fruits and vegetables etc.
Dislikes
- Banasthali has not much to dislike about. It's just the leave verification process that takes time but again that is same for all universities
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well structured that spans from basics to advanced with practical insight providing solutions to real life problems. The exams occur timely which includes periodicals, tests, practicals, mid and end semesters. The periodicals occurs twice for a semester. The practicals also occurs twice for a semester in the form of internals and externals. At the end of all this, the student gets equipped with knowledge for practical world.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are provided to 3rd year students starting July onwards. An exam is conducted as per company criteria which includes a test spaning from 1-2 hours or a mere resume selection round followed by a one to one interview with technical experts or with the HR. Some of the companies for 2 months summer internships to 3rd year students include Amex, Salesforce, Eaton, Barclays, UBS, VISA etc with a minimum package of 6 Lpa.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placement from 3rd year when companies starts visiting for summer internships. A lot of big MNCs visit Banasthali which includes VISA, Amex, Lowe's India, JPMC, Cisco, BNY Mellon, Salesforce, Amazon, Flipkart, HSBC, Deloitte etc. The highest package as per know is 30 Lpa and average is around 7 Lpa. The profiles include software and data engineers etc. Banasthali has 100 percent placement record and this year also 80-90 percent of students of digger branches have been placed
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is submitted in two installments which includes hostel charges (message charge, room rent, electricity, water etc) and campus fee and tuition fee. Their are a lot of scholarships as well like need-cum-merit scholarship, etc which includes scholarship for those with one parent, no parent etc. Also a lot of scholarships both at state and national level are informed from time to time. One such successful scholarship is pragati scholarship. Banathali has a separate department to handle such things.
Campus Life
A lot of both technical and annual fests occur form time to time. The most fascinating includes Apaji fest and Mayukh fest for BTech students. A lot of clubs are also there spaning from debate and critique societies to other clubs including Gfg BV and Microsoft BV clubs. The central library has a lot of books and computer availability. Sports include horse riding, swimming, tennis, badminton, cricket, etc and they are n in number. The classrooms have smart class facility and is spacious.
Hostel Facilities
The room is quite spacious which has single, double and triple room availability. It includes single bed, wall fan, and study table to each student. There is a total of 3 floors, 2 wings with 2 set of washrooms on every floor which are pretty good in number as well. The meal is provided 4 times a day which includes only vegetarian as Banasthali is strict vegetarian. The meal can also be requested at times when one is not well. The evening snacks include fruits (a variety) and the 3 time meal is sufficient and nutrient rich.
Admission
The eligibility to join for Bachelor's was 12th pass in the required field . The application process includes filling form that costs Rs. 800. I applied for Bachelor's of Technology in 2020 and appeared for the same on 21st June The forms can be filled in March to be on safe side and can be filled till June with late fee. In 2020 the exams were online due to covid but the exams earlier and now are conducted offline at predefined centers which can be chosen at time of form filling. A merit based on scores is made which serves as a criteria to allot branches like CS, IT etc. The students are also required to give their preference of branches. A benifit is provided to those who have either their elders studying or studied or any working parents.
Faculty
The faculty members are well qualified and have a lot of knowledge. They are very helpful as well. Students get both theoretical and practical knowledge and the class are also scheduled timely from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm which can extend to 6:00 pm sometimes. Also five-fold activities including yoga and a lot of other activities takes place including certificate courses. For practicals the student teacher ratio is 1 teacher for 45 student and for theoretical subjects the ratio is 1 teacher for 90 students. Overall, the faculty is great.
