Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Well talking about the curriculum, it still lacks real world applications and knowledge. Exams are based mainly on theory which can be found in specific books and questions are repeated almost every other year. Teachers must focus more on the real life implications than just teaching what the book says. They must enable note making strategies and case studies which can will open our eyes for the real problem solving and decision making skills.

Internships Opportunities

4

The placement cell provides the students workshops which could be online or even offline. There are plenty internship opportunities available, some of the roles offered are - Hr management, marketing & finance intern, content writer, web developer inter, graphich design, growth and strategic intern and so on. Some of the companies who have offered us interships and job placements are - zomato, bajaj finance, ernst &young, eat my news, paradyes, etc.

Placement Experience

3

5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. They can choose to work with NGOs or MNCs if approved. On and average 250-300 students are offered a placement from 1000 to 1200 students. It is up to the student to take or leave the job offered to them. The average package that our college student gets offered is between 3.5L to 4L per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to inculcate hard and soft skills to get higher placements and opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Like my initial fees of admission was around 9k and now it has spiked to 11k or something. Complete tuition fees for my course must be around 30k-40k. The college charges us of library fees, examination fees, computer lab fees, water, electricity and development fees these are some of the basic charges. There are plenty of scholarships and financial aid available for students. Like DU provides financial aid for students who belong from the EWS quota which includes waiver of fees or reduction of fees. I have not yet taken any campus employment but i m working towards it. The placement cell provides adequate amount of internships and job opportunities to all students. You can expect a fresher intership stipend from5k-10k.

Campus Life

4.5

There are plenty of performing and non performing socities which students can join and experience the competition and exposure needed in college days. Me coming from a dance society i have experienced a lot from it from hardships to determination and to even face rejection in life. Coming onto fest, our college hold mainly two big events namely the Winter carnival which is usually organised between November to January. And the other is the annual fest called Ullas which is organised between the month of march and april. Our college library is quite big it consists of 3 floors which can be easily accessed by students. It has books available on every genre but one main concern could be the unavailablilty of the latest edition of these books and journals. Coming onto the technological provisions then again we have 3 labs but the computers does not have the latest softwares and malware. They just teach us the basic stuff. College has active sports and extracurricular activities.

Admission

Admission process in our time was a mess (total chaos). We were the first timers who had to give the entrance exam CUET and then deal with the CSAS portal. Talking about the exam, everything is digitalised. From form filling to paying the admission fees. It is easy to enroll and give exams. The exam CUET is backed by NTA so students can easily find the details online. I personally took the CW quota which stands for reservation for the children/widows of the Armed Forces. You just had to opt for that quota and submit a form offically released by du for that particular quota. The frequency and timings of exams in the first year for us was pretty hectic because we have to cover full course in less time but now that things have settled down it is manageable if you are not in some college society. The exams could be tagged as lengthy be it a theory exam or practical subject. The difficulty level on the scale of 10 would be 7.5 to 8.

Faculty

3.5

In avg the teacher to student ratio is 45:1,Which is not bad. 1 teacher can easily handle a class of 45-50 students. The faculty consists of different types of teachers- some are friendly and approachable which some are rude and difficult to read. Usually the attitude of teachers change after they are permanent teachers. Core subject usually teach in the same old book method or in bookish languages. After the introduction of AEC and SEC subjects some teachers have changed their way of teaching which includes real life experiences.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
