Likes

The infrastructure is quite big and good
The class rooms are big enough and had proper smart boards
Having lots of indoor games option and also have a big auditorium

Dislikes

The bathrooms are very untidy and uncleaned
Library room useless the librarian doesn’t allow to sit amd read inside the room
There is no playground for outdoor games

Course Curriculum Overview

As I am from the commerce stream pursuing BCOM was my priority so I opted for it and after this, I am going to pursue an MBA which will help to reach there. In my college, all the subjects of BCom are studied in a very serious way

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a most affordable college of Kolkata as it is a government college so the fees are very minimal and it also provides many scholarships program I have opted for the SVMCM Scholarship program and the college had successfully verified it

Campus Life

The college participate in every cultural fest amd programme ,All the co curriculum activities also took place and also organised a 3 day fest there students get chance to showcase their talent and potential

Admission

The admission process is very smooth, Anyone can easily fill out admission form from the official website of our college and get enrolled but real problem is the cut-off. The cut off are very high that's makes it difficult to enroll

Faculty

The faculty is very good , the teachers are very much experienced and give us proper guide during the classes and classes are very much intresting we never felt boredom during class. Study is very serious in ou campus

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

INSIGHTS OF GCCBA

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. I got admission offers in SXUK, Jaipuria THK Jain and Bhawanipur college, But this was the best option I had. The admission process is through your boards marks. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
