24/7 Library not available, Bangali Professors(Specially of my department i.e. Chemical) discrimatory behaviour towards Non Bengalis and Favoritism towards Bengalis.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course based on my JEE rank. The curriculum is not upto real world applications. Course should be flexible and provide freedom to students. Frequency of exams is within 3 weeks. Exam timings are 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Difficulty level is decent.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship are offered by good amount of companies specially for circuital branches. SDE internship package range from 40k-125k per month. For non circuital branches internship package range from 20k-50k per month.

Placement Experience

From 5th semester students are eligible for internship and from 7th semester they are eligible for placements. Companies visited are around 150 and offers made are around 700-750 Highest Package: 60 LPA Average Package: 7.5-8 LPA Percentage of students places: 75-80% Plan after getting the degree: Appear for GATE.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is hiked almost every year by minimum of 10%. Complete cost of education is around 20-22 lakh for four years. GP Birla Scholarship is available for meritorious students (based on CGPA, caste and financial grounds). Training and Placement Cell is there which cater the placement season.

Campus Life

Annual Cultural Fest: Bitotsav Annual Technical Fest: Pantheon Library is full of books and journals, you can find any good book you know. Special section of books are there for reservation Category students. Classrooms are well furnished with projectors and good writing boards with air conditioners. A whole sports complex is allotted for sports enthusiasts. Dhristi NGO is a student run social group which helps unprivileged village students to study and grow.

Hostel Facilities

Good size room but now the juniors are allotted double occupied room. Chair, Table Cupboard bed and fan is provided in the room Food of mess is fine and we decide menu for the month. Student body is formed to look after mess facilities.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is 12th with PCM and minimum of 60%. College is given through Josaa Counselling base on JEE Mains rank . Admission process was smooth but they open an institute level counselling which leads to inclusion of lower rank candidates specially in lower branches.

Faculty

Faculty to Student ratio: 1:6 Faculties are all from IITs having doctorate. Thier teaching approach is not that impressive as we have seen in our coaching institutes. I can interact with faculties almost daily.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Overall Experience and all reality of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More
