Likes
- I liked the college infrastructure and the amount of equipments in the college is more than enough for every students. Labs are well equipped with equipments. The teachers are knowledgeable and highly qualified.
- The on campus placement is rising every year after the lockdown period and this college is now under top 4 private colleges in West Bengal.
- There are a lot of clubs to join and if you're a volleyball, football and a basketball player , you'll spend a good time in this college because there is plenty of resources for these sorts.
Dislikes
- I don't like the 75% attendence criteria of this college. There will be a very little time for your self development after college. And if your attendence doesn't fit the the 75% attendence criteria, you can't give exams.
- The syllabus is very broad for each term. The last chapters always remains untaught before term exams. And the exam is also pretty tough and there is no pattern of questions from particular chapters. You have to study whole syllabus to perform good.
- The hostel have so many restrictions and the food is not that good ( I get to know this from me hostel friends).
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus for each term is very broad. Most of the last chapters are not even finished by the teachers because of the time period and massive syllabus . For odd semester you'll get around 6 months to study and for even semester you'll get only 3 months which is quite less.
Placement Experience
In recent years, the placement has been better . The college is outshining top private colleges in West Bengal and almost all the students whose criterias are met are placed in companies. Although the package is not much big but you'll get placed and gain experience for better companies and packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee for this college is 425000. And you'll have to pay around 1500 for fests that happen every year. Apart from these, there are exam fee and skill development fees. If you're from Bengal, you'll get 60k scholarship every year but if you're from outside of bengal, you'll get nothing.
Campus Life
The campus life is pretty good. There are two fests which held in summer . The cultural fest, Arcadia happens for 3 days and many popular singers had came and will come in near future. For students interested in technical things will have something known as the techfiesta, the tech fest . There are a lot of clubs also like music, dancing, karate , photography, sports, and many more.
Admission
You'll have to the WBJEE exam to get into this college. There are some reservations benefits for the waivers. The exam is not much that difficult. I have studied for around 29 days before exam and I got 22k rank in this exam . The cutoffs are : CSE:11k CSBS:25k ECE:33k EE:45k ME and EEE:around 63k
Faculty
The faculty members are knowledgeable and highly qualified also. They know how to teach properly. Some of them are very friendly. But if you're from outside of bengal , then you'll have hard time understanding the concepts as most of the teachers use begali language in teaching .
