Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The main subjects include 1) farm power and machinery engineering 2) food processing engineering 3) Irrigation engineering 4) soil and water conservation engineering If any student have an interest in agriculture and in technology which is used in agriculture then this course will be very beneficial for him/her. Drone irrigation, precision agriculture, Smart irrigation etc technology covered. There are many government exams which students can prepare for along with academics as the syllabus is almost the same like mpsc agriculture, AFO, GATE etc. Exams include mid-term, semester practical examinations and semester theory examinations. One semester nearly takes 6 months. The course curriculum is good and updated but still there are some subjects which need to be updated as per the current scenario.

Internships Opportunities

5

After the 4th semester there is an In-Plant Training for this seats from central institute of Farm machinary training and testing institute MP budni, Hisar Haryana, Assam, Anantapur are available for students. Remote sensing training is also provided at nagpur and vasad by government institute. CIAE bhopal training is also provided for 4 months ( Government institute) . Last year 2 students aslo got intership at IIT Bombay in CTARA department.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement of CAET Dr PDKV Akola is not much better only 4-5 students get placed every year and also the placement package is about 4-6 lac. From 6-7th semester students get eligible for campus placements. Companies like jain and jain irrigation, Tafe, Mahindra and Mahindra tractor, sundaram finance etc visit college for campus placements. Students try for competitive exams and GATE exam for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of the college is not much it very economical any one can afford it. For open category students one semester fees is near about 17,000 . The fees of even sem(Like semester 2,4,6,8) is less it is about 11,000 to 12,000 for general category students. Scholarship is provided to the students who have taken the admission through cap round. For each category like EWS, OBC , ST, SC different scholarship are there according to that students get the scholarship amount. Taking about campus employment, then it's difficult to get employment here . And I think there is no such requirement of doing employment for paying college fees it's too low but one can try through online mode.

Campus Life

4

Campus of our college is filled with Greenery and many times birds like Peacock and parrots came on the roads. Sports are there in the university where all students from different backgrounds like bsc agriculture, horticulture, forestery participates. There is a very big library in the university so you can get a wide range of books there. Techfest, agrotech, Shivar pheri etc event are conducted thought the year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel has a name called Raigarh hostel for boys and as well as facility of hostel for girls is also Provided. One room have to share with another student means basically two students in each room. Mess facility is also available at hostel.

Admission

For the eligibility one should have completed 10+2 and an entrance exam. If students come from Maharashtra then then should given MHTCET UG entrance exam while for other state ICAR exam is there. MHTCET UG exam happens one in a year The cut off don't go much high.

Faculty

4

The batch of 60 students get divided into three parts having 20 students in each batch so students to teachers ratio is good. Teachers uses projectors for better understanding of concepts and for practical classes they teach in infield. Students can directly approach to professor if they have any kind of doubts. Teachers use hindi language if sometimes students are not able to get the concept.
