What Students Say
Likes
- Infrastructure is one of the best among all the nits and IITs, people are very helping, the location is quite amazing with college being in the middle of city.
- Jaipur being a very happening place makes MNIT life more amazing
Dislikes
- One of the worst administration especially academic section is very cruel with 75% attendance and even don't brothers failing final year students for attendance
- Swiggy and Zomato not allowed inside campus you have to go to main gate to receive your orders
- Internship opportunity is very less 5/110 students of my batch got on campus internship
Course Curriculum Overview
From my point of view if Chemical Engineering doesn't fascinates you don't take it you'll regret! It's one of the toughest course and you'll hardly get time to build your personality and softskills. If you wanna go for tech placements don't dare to go for this, it will be the worst nightmare. I personally don't like this course, hardly 2-3 subjects are relevant in the industry, rest just be there in books
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunity is very less for core students, for noncore it's quite good and even for electrical it's very good Companies visited for internship are JPMC, RELIANCE, ACCENTURE, CUMMINS, PROPVIVO, SALES FORCE, WELLS FARGO, BNY , DEUTSCHE BANK etc
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students are eligible for the placement opportunities. The companies visited are: JP Morgan Chase & Co., Apple, HUL, Amazon, Salesforce, Atlassian, Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank, Bank of Newyork, Reliance, JSL, JSW, Cummins , Accenture, Genpact, Expedia etc Hightest package overall is 64 LPA and in the Chemical Engineering department is 40LPA by expedia Placement percentage overall is around 80%
Fees and Financial Aid
There are provisions for the scholarship for financially challenged people. People with any category having family income less than 1 LPA have 100% tuition fee remission, those with family income less than 5 LPA it's 66% remission, for sc, st and pwd students its 100% tuition fee remission. There is no option to earn in campus, you may do freelancing if you wanna earn
Campus Life
There are two festivals, cultural festival (Blitzschlag) and technical festival (Sphinx) which are celebrated in February and November respectively. There are sufficient amount of books available in the library and even foreign journals are easily available Classrooms are well equipped with ACs , Projectors and other amenities Sports facilities are good and are even growing quickly in campus with lawn tennis etc There are 30+ clubs working under Dean Students welfare although all of them are dead except 3-4 like MC² dance crew, level X dance crew, DIL drama club.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels provide a bed, a chair , a table, and a cupboard. Food is good in initial days and then you'll have to eat hell! Food quality is worst in Aurobindo hostel Hostels except Ganga , gargi and Aurobindo are in very bad condition
Admission
The admission is done on the basis of ranks secured on JEE-MAINS. To get chemical engineering with general category you need to have rank lesser than 25,000 and for obc it extends to 34000 for sc st goes upto 100000-120000 Jee mains happens twice an year in February and April and it includes PCM subjects of class 11th and 12th
Faculty
All the faculty members are well qualified with PhD degrees, there are almost 30 facilities for overall 400 UG students in 4 years. The faculty is only qualified well, hardly 4-5 professors actually have the knowledge of the subjects they are teaching, rest of the people just come to read the ppts (even they can't read that) and the moment it comes to examination, all will come to kill you with questions you must have never seen. And making is absolute in chemical engineer department of MNIT Jaipur
