Scoring a seat in an IIT is the dream for most of the aspirants. IIT Dhanbad provides the best environment for the people who want to pursue their career in the fields of Earth Science branches owing to its large alumni network and the reputation it holds.

The curriculum is quite up to date. With all the excursion and field training happening, students find it quite easy to relate to the subject. The labs also provide a unique environment for students to grow. The imagination level of the student will all these exposures increase to provide him the base for more and more innovation in the field.

Yes, a lot of companies register every year to offer internships to the eligible students. The overall experience of these internships are really good and average stipend is around 30000

The placement and job scenarios are very good. Every year around 70-75% of the batch gets placed in various MNCs, PSUs, etc. The companies like Samsung and Microsoft come for the coders and developers and Cairn and Schlumberger for the Earth Science students.

Srijan, the cultural fest of the college, is the most celebrated and awaited event. It includes various colleges competing in the fields of Art, Culture, and Dance. Concetto, the technical fest, is the place where you can find innovation at its best. Basant is the annual alumni meet held in the first week of February.

The fee structure is quite moderate. Annually you will be spending around 2.5 lakhs for the education. This includes your hostel fees and the mess fees as well. You are given almost a month deadline to pay your fees through SBI online payment method.

Many scholarships and loan facilities like MCM are available to make sure that student does not face any economic or financial pressure.

IITs offer you an overall development. Clubs like Manthan, the singing club, and LITM, the dance club, help you explore yourself in new dimensions whereas clubs like Toastmasters, LITC, E-Cell are there to make sure your personality develops as well. International Organisations like AIESEC are also functional in the college.

I will give hostel facility and mess food 2 stars out of 5. The reason being stray dogs roaming around the hostel, the LAN timings, the efforts administration put. The conditions are just good to survive not to make you feel like home. The canteens in the hostel campus prove to be the savior.

The college is known for its alumni network. Almost 95 years in working, the college has the vast network helps in placement, training and many other things.

The exam structure, however, does check the cramming ability of the student. You are given just one day between the exams to revise all your concepts and be prepared. This race to score more marks sometimes overburden the student. Regular class tests and assignments are taken to help the student.

The biggest hurdle indeed was JEE Advanced. Clearing it required a lot of efforts like complete isolation from the social media and the outside world. Once done with JEE, the process was rather a simple one. All you need to do is fill your choices in JOSAA and wait for your choice to pop up. Then you can go to the nearest IIT and confirm your seat.

The professors of the college are up to the mark. They know the attitude of an average student after clearing JEE and teach in a manner that would interest him. They know when to be strict and when to relax so that the student can have the overall development.
