from 6 sem onwards students become eligible for campus placements , some companies visited are deloitte, , de shaw , highest paid is around 86 lakhs, in case 99% students get placed my plans after getting degree is preparing upsc

tution fees hike is less but mess fee hike is a serious concern in nit tourkela , this year it increased by 25k , which even caused student to protest on campus , the complete cost per year is around is 1.5 l per year . there are huge numbers of scholarships which one can avail here, among which ffe , hope etc.

there are fest like nitrutsav , innovision etc , there is a central library access to all with thousands of books , there are labs with best equipment . there are sports complexeses fields named dts , sts with huge number of fields to play . also indoor stadium .each hostels has its gym and indoor sports euiipments .
Hostel Facilities
there is a room equipeed with 2 lan connections , 1 fan and you can get good rooms , hostel are allotted you can change hostel mutually with other hostel person , if both want to change then it can be done ,2 person accommodate in single room .
Admission
there is no such eligibility criteria but one is through jee mains , u need to score a good enough rank and get admission here, reservation is fo state , caste , and pwd students also . admission counselling s done through josaa.
Faculty
the faculty to student raton is ghood on acvverage per 40 studsen there is 1 teacher , it does not impact a much as the teacher clarifies the doubt in class as weel as seniors are there to take classes in evening , or remedial classes are also tajken by them .we approach to teacher whenever we want there is no such particular time as per time given by professor , we go there .
