Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Curriculum is decent as I am in the NEP batch. The exams are relevant to what we have learned. Teachers provide us with material and topics for exams. There is one exam per semester. I chose this course as it is more practical it includes finance and accounts principles which interests me.

Internships Opportunities

3

Times of India had provided us with an internship. The internship was of no use to sales. College only tells us about the internship rest depends on us. Sometimes the internships are not good they just wàste our time

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete charges are approx 35000 total. Scholarships are given to students who score the highest in the class. Some scholarships are there but u need to have a low income and an income certificate for a scholarship.

Campus Life

3

Every year sports day, womens day, voters day, yoga day etc is celebrated. There is department fest everyyear and it is good. MOSTLY the festivals are held from oct to jan. There are various student lef clubs like Talenzia it has various divisions like fine arts, dance, etc.

Admission

Cut-off changes every year so I can't say the minimum but it would be approx 70%. The college website has the info or otherwise, you can visit the college between 10 to 12 am. The admission process is online so it is flexible. Reservation is for the Sindhi minority.

Faculty

4

There are enough faculty for students and there is regular interaction between the students and teachers. They help you to understand concepts better. We can interact with teachers whenever we want and our department coordinator is also supportive. Seniors are kind and friendly. About Job placement i am not so sure.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
