Remarks

College is fine if you want to do any course besides whatever you are doing.

Entrance Preview

I was doing CA so I needed to do a graduation degree besides to secure my future in case of failure so I choose this college since we don't have regular classes or assignment or anything which would keep us busy with it rather we just needed to prepare a few days before the exam and give the exam...

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The structure is very good ... Unlike all other colleges we don't have exams semester wise but rather we have a yearly exam which means only one exam in a year and that is just perfect since it is usually one month after our CA exams. It overall proves to be better than all other distance education modes.

Internships Opportunities

Not yet our college is not providing any sort of internship. Which makes this question unanswerable to me.

Placement Experience

0.5

Our college doesn't have placement .. it is just a very ordinary college helping you to get a degree besides whatever you are doing in actual life be it job, CA or any other course.. so in very simple words I close this that Delhi university school of open learning does not have placements.

College Events

0.5

As per our records our college has once celebrated some festival but now its lost we don't have any festivals or any other event since its just a distance mode of education so we rather can celebrate festivals of other colleges under du but unfortunately, our college does not stand up for celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of SOL is very cheap.. almost anyone in today's time can afford it .. like in 1st year my college fee was around 3000 for 1 year which included books too and now in the second year too it not more than 3000 which again is cheap and its same for final year too so almost in 9000 one gets graduation degree... Is that not cheap yet!

Fees and Financial Aid

No-till date I haven't heard of any loan that is being provided by the college but they provide a scholarship for students who have a household income less than 75000 rupees per annum.

Campus Life

2.5

The campus is pretty well maintained you won't find many students there except those who are there for some office inquiry, the gender ratio is like 3boys: 1 girl, nope.. there is no extracurricular activities or labs or sports or any sort of competition or debates.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Again we don't have hostels or pgs.... Since we don't have to attend college so... No hostel, no pg, no accommodation, no mess food nothing at all... Since I have to complete 250 characters for this answer ill have to type anything now damn... We don't even have a canteen in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes talking to senior is always helpful and they know perfectly what the pattern of paper will be and what we could predict in exams.

Exam Structure

Exam centers are fine we get the centers in different Delhi university colleges like I got the center in Guru Govind Singh college in Pitampura and the center was fine had fans to keep us chilled and yes we could write exams with ease and comfort. And really there can't be any complaint about it.

Admission

I Choose To do CA course which is one of the difficult and risky course since one is not sure if he will qualify all the exams so to have a backup we need to do a graduation degree and doing that from a regular college was always a bad idea since we had coaching classes. So I heard about DU SOL from a friend of mine and joined it and so far it seems that it has been a great decision. I had to fill a form online on their site and make the payment... And that's it I got the admission.

Faculty

3

The faculty we get to see is good .. we have weekend classes and that is pretty fine since it is no big deal to attend like one class in a week and get our concepts cleared... The teachers are very great and will cover the maximum syllabus in minimum time and clear all the doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
