- Students-run clubs are very active and very helpful, they help us learn valueable skills in academic as well as non academic fields
- Hostels are very well maintained and clean, even first-year hostels are spacious and adequate.
Dislikes
- The weather is very humid, anybody not accustomed to perspiring a lot will find it difficult.
- Some departments are very strict and very ambiguous in their curriculum. Its difficult to score good marks at such situations.
Course Curriculum Overview
Its one of the best departments in the college and in the country as well. Its one of the oldest and very reputed in terms of placements. Its a rigorous curriculum but worth it for its relevance in today's industry standards
Internships Opportunities
In mechanical department L&T, TVS, Airbus, Lexus etc offer internships Also since the faculty in the department are all well established and experienced, they help with internships in reputed institutions all over the country like IITs and IISc Bengaluru
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. 260+ companies visit annually. 54lpa highest package, 18lpa avg package 93% students get placed every year I would like to pursue higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
Since it is a government institution. The fees charged is nominal and very affordable with exemptions for reservation students. Its about a lakh a year for others, and even that is less than most colleges in the country
Campus Life
Incident is the annual fest and is one of the largest in the country with very reputed celebrities invited every year. Library and computer labs are extensive and always available. The class is equipped with very good infrastructure. All sports are available and the students are given a great opportunity to excel in them as well. Student run clubs are excellent in all activities. Exclusive clubs are great career development.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are adequate for the fees. First year hostels are well maintained and later on it gets better through the succeeding years. Mess food is okay and they give you a choice between veg and non-veg A grand dinner is kept every month, which is nice. Hostel registration is very efficient and completely online. They assist you in the first year and after that it can be managed by the student.
Admission
JEE is the main entrance examination in India and with a significant part of the seats reserved for SC/ST students. Admission is very smooth with great assistance in the campus. Its smooth with a choice in hostel and mess selection as well.
Faculty
Faculty is very experienced and almost all of them are IITians and/or have a PhD from a reputed institution. They are very learned men always approachable for projects, internship references. Some lecturers are strict but in the end they give you the cgpa you deserve nothing more nothing less. Classes are very interactive with interesting teaching methods.
