Decent college but placements a bit below expectations

The College lacks Placement and it has been a major issue of the college over past several years.

The college has a very good reputation in Nagpur and parts of central India, Moreover, the location of the college is in New Nagpur which further makes it more accessible to the citizens of Nagpur. Further, the college is being run by a missionary institution further adding the reputation.

The College provides a "Book Bank" scheme, wherein students of the college are provided textbooks and reference books from various international authors, for a mere cost of around Rs 200-300 per year. Moreover, the syllabus is made available through the college website.

The College offers top placement opportunities across various PSU including DRDO, BARC, ISRO, BSNL, DD News etc. Further industrial visits are carried on a regular basis and also top Industry experts visit the college frequently for interaction with students

The college had a placement record of 75% in the year 2018. But it is a fact that most of the students get placed in call centers and have to work for very less package. Further, the college mounts pressure on students to get placed into these low-level companies.

Each department holds a mini-fest of events related to its profile, here the students across various colleges of vidharba participate and the winners are applauded with cash prizes. Moreover, the college holds a giant Technical, as well as cultural fest wherein students from across the country, participate actively.

The College has a separate Scholarship department in the campus where the students are helped to figure out various govt scholarships available for them.

Campus life is fun loving but does not be under the impression of a typical college lyf is only fun. Labs are quite well furnished but a few labs lack the latest equipment. The workshop is provided for the students which are generally used mainly by the students of the mechanical department.

The Hostel rooms are quite comfortable and spacious. Even the hostel management is quite student friendly. You get Nonveg almost 3 times a week n sweet occasionally. Further, in case of events, the college hosts dinner and therefore the students are permitted to have a gala dinner on several occasions.

The College has an Alumni association wherein Alumni of the college are invited for a "Regional Alumni Meet" which is held across various cities of India and abroad as well.

The college conducts sessional exams on a regular basis ie twice each semester and the performance of students in these exams do directly affect the internal marks of the students. Thus the internal marks system is kept transparent and no major cases of partiality are being reported in the college.

Based on the marks you score in the engineering entrance examination and 12th board examination, the students across Maharashtra are supposed to fill their entries in CAP (Common Admission Process). Here the students based on their marks n preference of college are allotted Various colleges.

The college provides a lunch break of 1 hour wherein the faculty members are required to finish their lunch n fresh themselves up in the first half n hour n the remaining tym is too devoted to students doubts. Moreover, the staff is required to stay back in college for the additional half hour for the same.
