- Strong Alumni network: This college is one of the oldest engineering college because of that it has the strongest Alumni network which really helps in funds and placements of students.
- Scope of doing anything you want: In this college if you have the will the do something great whether it is in the research field or sports, this college have the potential to make you great.
- Scholarship: This college have really great facility of scholarships for needy people.
Dislikes
- Maintenance: Very poor hostels, no maintenance of hostels are there.
- Poor food quality: When you are in 1st sem till date they serve you very good and tasty food, timely they decrease there food quality time by time.
- Faculty Expertise and Mentorship:The faculty at PEC is generally well-regarded. Many professors hold advanced degrees and have significant research and industry experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
When you talk about what are the things that influenced me to take this course is "my rank" of JEE . At my rank in this college max i can get is this course and the quality of college and placements stats are the most imp thing that impact me. Curriculum is well defined proper labs are there for experiments, whatever is teaching in class. Because of relative grading its not very tough to score here if you study 1 week before midsem and 2 week before endsem exams then you score good enough for every company cuttoff.
Fees and Financial Aid
Talking about tution fee increase policy it increase after every year by aprox 10%, now for batch 2026 tution fees is 94000/- per sem. Complete cost comprises: Tution fees - 94000per sem *2 Hostel fees- 77000/year Mess fees - 4000/month Approx fees per year 3lakhs So approx fees for whole degree around 12-13lakhs Yes, scholorships are there: 1.) special circumstances 2.) income below 8 lakhs/year 3.) bpl category 4.) pwd candidates 5.) sc/st scholarships So far i am currently in my 2nd year so i have not taken any intern so as far as i know from seniors its down as compare to previous years.
Campus Life
There are many events which take place but one event which is conducted once in an year named as PECFEST. All sports are there and competitions like inter-college, inter-state, inter-branch, inter-nit matches are held. All type of clubs are there, for which students find effective can join like: EIC,SESI,SAASC,PEB,EEB,VOYAGERS,DRAMS,WEC,ATS etc.
Admission
This is a national level college takes admission only through JEE rank. NTA conducts an exam named JEE mains and according to your rank in this exam you got seat in particular branch. Reservation are avilable for sc/st candidates and pwd candidates. Admission process is same for all the national level college so it take time to conduct nothing can do.
Faculty
Faculty-to-student ratio is decent but i will say its less, ofcourse it affect learning experience. In first year no faculty is permanent all are temporary so whenever there tenure is finished they leave in between. No doubt, faculty's are highly educated and experienced in their particular field. But i think that they lag in their way of teaching. Teachers ineract and give their valuable time whenever you want, except they dont have class or any other important work to do.
