Remarks

Very good in term of placement Good in terms of academic Poor in terms of strictness with attendance(very strict) If you bunk lectures and attendance is less than 75% overall then punishment with long defaulters assignment subject wise is given and for less than 50% defaulters assignment into 3 and parents are also called.

Entrance Preview

Firstly it was the best college closest to my region one of my senior friend recommended to not to leave the college as I recieved my seat on 1st list itself. I read all the reviews and rankings from different sources and on avg from Mumbai it was in top 5 , from Maharashtra top 20 , from India top 100 including Govt Institutes although VESIT is Unaided and as I wanted to have a job after BE VESIT is having 100% placement for COMPS and IT and 90% placement overall which is a pretty huge number.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I think its the fault of mumbai university out of 40 subjects that we are studying only 8-10 subjects are something which are close to the current trends in industries and again they are just colse ones the actual need is different in many ways but as it is approved the ciriculum goes well lectures are conducted properly but it is something you study just to pass or get good marks which are of no use for placement and probably no use for future education as well.I will blame the university for the same.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, Internships are provided to students and they work to improve the current scenario in college like online attendance, automated time table generator ,etc students are shortlisted after few test who work upon some problem statements(I was one of them) stipend is not provided but a certificate measure some importance as you can add weight to your resume and also links for external internships are provided.

Placement Experience

5

Placement for college is extremely high and there are ample of opportunities for students to get placement in dream companies(I am myself placed in a dream company) while non dream companies are almost a confirmation for getting placed because for computer and it placement is 100% and for rest of the departments around 90% which are some great numbers.

College Events

5

There is a continuous stream of events which takes place in college but it is highly inclined to cultural and sports rather than technical the events schedules are as follows: considering college starts in 2nd week of July Indoor sphurti(july-august)- Indoor Sport games Udaan(august)-Fresher's party Praxis(august-september)-Techfest october, nov, dec goes in high time sem prep and vacations Illusion(december-january)-A high contesting event carried by 6 teams in various fields like dance, drama, music , etc Sphurti(January-february)- Outdoor sport games Utsav(March)- Annual interclass events (around 44) contesting against each other and probably the best and high voltage cultural event. april ,may ,june goes in high time sem and vacations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to other colleges its on average but with the quality it provides probably the best with around 1lakh15k for general, 70k for obc,nt , 12k for sc, st ,sbc , tfws(tution fee wavier scheme) and there are no strict deadlines for payment of fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont know if there is any scholarship from college because I am from OBC and is provided the suppourt of maharshtra govt in 50% tution fee wavier as annual income of our family is less than 6L per anum so I never got to know if college directly gives any.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is great gender ratio is also great around 45-55 to girls and boys. A stream of extracurricular and sports events keeps happening in our college labs are good internet facility is available throught out the labs via lan and whole campus is guided by wifi so that you can use internet everywhere but you first neet to regsiter yourself so that server can monitor if any misuse is happening.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel is never a good place to live compared to home but still our college have in campus hostels and are always occupied students from different regions of India apply for the same. Boys can livr for 2 years in hostel after that they need to figure out a room on rent or pg, girls live for complete terms i.e 4 years. Mess food is not so good and is completely veg. I hear my friends saying I will eat from canteen because mess's food is not good.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very very huge many of our alumni's are now having their own business with a turn over of around 100 crores , some are CTO in reputed companies and seniors are really helpful and approchable throughout.

Exam Structure

Exam are conducted with discipline no question bank from 2nd year unlike other colleges you have to study complete syllabus for unit test and for end sem examination you have ample of time to study in between the dates of exams like if 1st paper is on 19th november 2nd will be around 25-26th november hence we can actually study completely in those 5-6 days and enjoy whole sem(This is what i an doing till sem 7)

Admission

My percentile was 97.2 all over Maharashtra( at our time 50% JEE and 50% PCM was the weightage criterion) and I kept this college at no 3 after VJTI and COEP and only for Computer Engineering(not because of trend or placement advantage but my uncle is a software engineeing and I loved his work). As it turned out I got admitted in 1st list I had an option to wait but considering last years cutoff for VJTI and COEP I knew wait is not worth so I took admission in 1st list itslef and the process was easy with some documents and physical fitness certificate and anti ragging certificate and the process was done!

Faculty

4

Faculties are good because assuming 6 faculties for 6 subjects there is always this bunch of teachers we dont like, like somewhat, and like a lot for each semester and avg of 3 poor managing and disliked faculty , 2 good faculties and 1 extremely liked and best faculty are available. Teaching is good and if you are a person who hates bunking and loves to attend lectures this is the best college you can ever have.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
