Keeping everything aspect in mind a decently good college to be in.

Overall in the field of engineering LD college always gets a big thumbs up.

Well I wanted to opt for a good government college in Gujarat,& only few colleges around here offered a degree in environmental engineering and as it happens to be LD college of engineering was one of the best amongst them. Keeping in mind it's low fews, good infrastructure & wide lush green campuse.

The course in environmental engineering field is quite unorganised and is found in a very scattered way. Though the Gujarat technological University has got it quite sorted. There are large varieties of books available for the one who seeks it & has the will for it.

No, as far as I know there is no such internship that is provided by the college. Though there are other clubs in the college in which one can be indulged in for technical knowledge enhancement.

As I'm only in the second year right now so I don't have the exact knowledge about the placements in the college. But according to other sources the placement cell in the college is active & large number of companies come for the placement drive and picks up the deserved candidate.

1. Lakshya- Which is the annual national level techfest of our college. 2.GTU techfest- This University fest is hosted by our college every alternate year. 3. Tarang- This is the science & space fest. 4. Sahitya Sarita- This is the annual literature fest of the college.

LD college of engineering is a granted in aid(Government college) so the fee structure herein is very feasible for everyone. The annual fees here is merely 1500 rupees for boys & for the girls it is absolutely free. It is one of the best colleges in Gujarat when we consider it's feasibility.

As per my knowledge there is no such scholarship or loan facility provided by the college. Keeping in mind it's fees we don't need one.

LD has a huge lush green campus, though its infrastructure is quite old. Gender ratio here is quite imbalance which goes around 10:1, though we can find students here from diverse places stretching from West to East of India. There innumerable extracurricular activities happening all around the year.

Currently there is one cell named LAA( LD alumni association) working activitly in LD for alumni network. Seniors here are very friendly.

There are technically two types of exam during the semester namely mid-semester & the final external University exam. Internal examination is of 30 marks and external is of 70 marks.Marks of both the examinations are added in the final marksheet that is provided.

Well during my time we used to get a merit number by ACPC (Admission committee for professional courses) based on our score in board examinations & gujcet, which was the relevant entrance exam for engineering in that academic year. The admissions are strictly given on the merit basis.

Well to be honest attendance is the issue in LD, though the faculty is good but the students here barely attends the lecture which according to me might be demotivating for the faculty. Though they are always very supportive and helpful in each and every way.
