Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose computer science and design because I have been a fan of UI / UX design from Photoshop to figma and PowerPoint. I have also been a fan of web development too. The curriculum does a great job of preparing students for both careers and further studies. Hands-on projects and internships give practical experience, making it easier to move into the workforce. I think the best way to improve is if the teachers are more excited to teach the subject and if they ask us to do more activities or more projects. The classic chalk-and-talk teaching won't work here In our college, there are 3 internals one every month and one end-semester exam The difficulty level is medium not that hard.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for me since I got in via KCET is around 110000 I have heard there might be an increase of 10 percent The complete cost of my education might be around 550000 including exam feees and everything else There are various scholarships for women and financially disabled people.Pratibha Puraskar Scholarship INSPIRE Scholarship and so on I have been part of various clubs like theatre and literary society thats fun. Till now I haven't applied for any internship so haven't recieved any stipends

Campus Life

4

There are two kinds of fest that happen Intra college and Intercollege fests Those are Vibrations and Furore respectively. Technical fests happen all across the year from recursion to hackman Vibrations is usually during October -November time While furore March -June time It's pretty fun and there are a lot of events Our library is huge with 3 floors and it also has a digital library. It has a lot of books . The return process of books is also very simple All classes have a white board a projector and smart board There's football cricket kabbadi events that happen which is fun. There's also a sports day that happen occasionally There are various cultural clubs like Litsoc , Atomic Breakdown, Theatre all of this give a break from hectic student life

Admission

Admission process was a Lil confusing but YouTube helped us a lot I got a rank of 5200 and I think the cut off for my course was around 7000 for general. The application form fees everything is there in the KEA official website and details about admission is there in Dayananda Sagar website The exams that I wrote was KCET and DSAT exam both happen once in a year DSAT exam was a simple exam for namesake they'll take you in anyways but you'll have to pay a higher fees KCET was moderately difficult and no negative marking

Faculty

Our department is pretty new hence we have around 60 students in our class and around 13-14 teachers. The teachers were never serious about completing portions and there were times they didn't come to class itself. Sone teachers just send modules and never taught anything. Only pro is that we can interact with them whenever and they'll kinda help you out.

Other Applied Colleges
