Likes
- First the teaching factualty is so good. Teachers of my department have a thorough knowledge or their subject and are quite serious about the students performance in academics.
- The societies which our college offers which helps us to enhance our personality and to continue our interest. We learn how to balance our academic life with it. The option to be a member of multiple society is fab as it helps us to explore new field
- The environment and infrastructure of the campus is very nice and friendly. We can enjoy our own company as well as in groups. Greenery is maintained all over and it looks as a student area for sure which is the best part about it.
Dislikes
- I think the fees is quite more. It should be less because DU is not a private university.
- The limited no. of seats in hostel. Also there are various colleges in north campus which don't have a hostel because of which students have to live in unaffordable pgs
- Even if the hostel seats are there, the water supply and electricity supply is not proper and fees is too high.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus sometimes is abit tough especially in Hons courses. We are given so much to cover in such less time also we have to manage our internals and project with that which is at times not easy and becomes very disturbing.
Fees and Financial Aid
The think from which I was a little pissed off was the fee structure like my fees in first year is 18,000 which I think is high for a government college. There are scholarships provided for sports student and reservation categories.
Campus Life
The campus of Delhi University is fantabulous. We invite our friends form outside to visit the beautiful campus . The infrastructure of my college is also the best with red buildings shining in the greenery of Ramjas. The social life here is also very good and some clubs provide free entry for du students. The fests are also held and managed and our favourite celebrities are invited.
Admission
The admission process was nicely handled by the management. Though I didn't like the fact that the orientation was held before the release of the third allocation list due to which many children who got their college in third list faced problem . The admission test was CUET ug and there was different cut off for each course and college my score was 350/600.
Faculty
The foremost thing because of which students like me want to take admission in Du is obviously the DU faculty. Our teachers have thorough knowledge of their subject and the take their profession very seriously as classes are regularly held practicals are performed very nicely.
