Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriulum for engineering is pretty good , like core subjects and in addition some coding related subjects too , some areas of improvement can be the first year's physics and chemistry classes as they have no real-world applications unless you have to go for research , there are three exams basically , the two midterms and the endterm. In my opinion they should reduce it to two , one midterm and an endterm.

Internships Opportunities

1

Internship opportunities are quite less , like you have to apply off-campus if you want a good internship with stipend , in college they mostly provide unpaid internships. Still if anyone gets an internship in college that's either unpaid or of low stipends.

Placement Experience

2.5

Students become eligible for the placement in 7th semester of engineering , the companies that visit include ICICI , HP , etc , the highest package may go around 15 to 25 LPA , and average ranges from 7 to 12 LPA , percentage of students getting placed is usually 70% , my plans are opting for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is pretty good in JMI. For example you have to pay 16350 per year , which is very less compared to other colleges , In my opinion there is no need of scholarships but still there are some available for students.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest of JMI is Zephyr , it's held in september mostly. The Library is pretty great , you can find any book or journal you want. The technological provision in classrooms are upto the mark , except for some first year classes . There are sports and extracurricular fests going around the campus annually , in which any student can participate There are lots of student-run social groups like SOARXJMI , GDSC JMI , ASME and all , which help student to improve their overall college and career experience.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostels in JMI is a pretty hard task to get in , like you have to call professors and other HOD's to get into the hostel. The meal quality is good and menu is well designed After your admission you've to fill the form of the hostel , and hostel association puts the list of selected candidates after selection process. The hostels are quite affordable , 33k per year. The localities for PG or a rented room include Zakir Nagar , Johri Farm , Okhla Vihar etc.

Admission

You are eligible for the course , if you crack JEE with good points and fill the application form which is available on the official website jmicoe.in , once you give JEE and fill the application form , they'll do self counselling and release lists of selected candidates.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty-to-student ratio is good , like I said the batch size is small(70 per class) , the faculty is well qualified and are experienced , some of them are not upto the mark , but most of them are good. You can interact any time you want , like I do in a week or two.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
