Course Curriculum Overview
I am studying political science at postgraduate level in savitribai phule pune university. Our course structure is good. It covers basic fundamental of subject. Teachers deeply teach core concepts. But they lack on real world application. They dont focus on market demands. Students of political science finds hard to get placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Increase in tuition fees is decided by management committee of university. Mostly all stockholders are considered before changing fees structure. We have human rights fee, library compulsory deposit and other charges.
Campus Life
We have annual sports events, dance events. They are mostly held in winter between November to January. We have one of the biggest Library in Maharashtra. Every department has its own small library. Students can withdrew 2 book at a time. Use of projecter, online notes Small social work group in campus, awareness campaigns are run in campus. Eg. Jhunj, vidyapeeth kataa.
Admission
Eligibility :- any art graduate with political science as a subject at graduation. Detailed information is given on college website comprising application form, application fees and application dates. Application process was smooth. Direct contact your subject department for help. Reservation - as per Maharashtra government rules. We have semester system. Exams are not difficult. Areas of improvement - fastening admission process, application fees reduction, stockholders engagement.
Faculty
Overall i have good experience here. We have 60 students and 6 faculty. Mostly every teacher knows all students by their name. So that helps. But 60 students in one class hampers personalized teaching and subsequently effectiveness of teaching.
