- College is in very peacefull area , everything around is so beautiful as it's a horticulture and forestry University,we have lots of field area for practice and learning
- The staff is very helping in nature and all Highly qualified
- The labs are fully equipped and lab attendants provide us knowledge about every single aspect of experiment
Dislikes
- The syllabus is not designed according to competitive exams which I'm going to give after my graduation
- My course is not ICAR affiliated which is on process but for now it's not available
- No any provision for placement as it lacks placement cell and offcourse campus placement is not an option
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is designed to cover every aspect say bioinformatics, basics of plant breeding, biotechnology, immunology, cell biology , pathology, entomology, soil science , molecular markers, plant tissue culture but some part is missing i.e industrial biotechnology As it's a very important part of GATE exam
Fees and Financial Aid
My course has a nominal fees, a normal middle class person can afford it My fees is 28,720 per semester but it has increased for students of 2024-2025 it has reached to 32,980 approx but it doesn't increase every year Once increased it doesn't increase every year College provided scholarship to the students performing well every semester NSP scholarships can be filled to avail more assistance No any campus employment opportunities are applied
Campus Life
Aagahz - May Aarambh - September Teacher's day Holi Ganesh visarjan Krishna Janmashtami etc. Are celebrated every year Sr. Satyanand stokes library is full of books you can find every possible book you can think of Every classroom is provided with smartboard , AC, smart lecture stand , furnished benches Sports are available like football, cricket,table tennis, volleyball etc. NCC, NSS are also available Social clubs like photography,music,sports,art, dance, environment club etc.
Hostel Facilities
Good rooms with balcony A fan Light Bed and almirah Washroom and bathrooms at every floor Mess Common room Study room Meal quality is average Menu is changed every week according to choice Registration form is filled Then candidates are selected according to category criteria and then marks Hostel is within campus which is better than renting PG as it is far away from campus
Admission
You must have 60% marks in class 12 for bachelors or 6 GPA for masters programme Application form are available at their own site www.yspuniversity.com Application form fees for normal seat is 1500 but for self financed is 2500 for general category But reservation benefits are availed for SC/ST and OBC category Exam difficulty is 7/10 Fees submission is trickiest part that should be improved
Faculty
Every faculty member is selected after an interview which is conducted in front of committee Every position has different eligibility criteria If a teacher is selected for a subject which has to be taught to students,then the eligibility is PHD holder For a lab attendants bachelor's degree is a must Every 40 students have 1 teacher for a class If we've any doubt we can go and ask to the teacher directly They're available everytime During labs they make every possible approach to make it understandable for us I'm in second year some of the experiments are not performed by us but every approach is made to help us to understand
