Likes
- Faculties: Most of them are very good, generous and very knowledgeable. Took care of every individuals when needed.
- Good Lab facilities and lab assistants were good.
- Except a few years, institution provides decent placements in good companies with average package of 4 lpa and 6-7lpa in few cases
Dislikes
- Campus: Institution campus is very small and no sports ground available, students missed and will miss the campus life.
- Canteen: The Vegetarian section should be better.
- Lab: Air conditioners should work properly, some cases it didn't work.
Course Curriculum Overview
Interest to Circuit and electronic devices influenced me to choose that course. The curriculums like technological competitions, quiz everything were so helpful to grow with that course. Exams held in 6 months, and difficulty level was moderate because it was conducted by MAKAUT(FORMERLY WBUT)
Internships Opportunities
Cognizant and Kriti technology offered internship in 3rd year students. Only IT and CSE students were available for this. Stipend is between 12-15k. Interns used to visit office, got accustomed with industrial environment and see the live projects.
Placement Experience
From 6th Semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Generally 2 mass recruiters(Cognizant, Infosys) come and recruit 180-200 students. Other companies like EY and Kriti technologies took some(3-4 from other depts) Highest package 9 lpa, average 4.5 lpa In normal years 75-78% students generally got placement till date. I got placed after getting degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees as well as semester fees were taken in 6 months of gap. Complete cost was 470000 INR(approx) Students had to pay 800 for each paper if they had to give retest in case of backlog in any subject. Each of the dept have different curricular activities. For ECE we had SPIE.
Campus Life
Annual fest Elixer for ece and Tech fest Techstorm are really gala moments usually happened in Aug-Sep and Nov respectively. Technology displays, Gaming competition and other interesting events were there. Wide range of books and journal are available in library. Though there is no ground in campus, college have a great sports culture like football, cricket and annual sports in every year. There are many students clubs Like technological clubs like SPIE, students reunion in alumni, anti ragging club etc
Admission
Eligibility: In our year the students who got 50% marks in Physics, Chem and Maths in 10+2, have 60+ marks in English in 10th, 50% marks in JEE(mains)/20000 Rank(Gen) in WBJEE were eligible to admission in our dept. Othe dept. There were some more or less. After counselling completed, student had to fill application form from college website and have to submit fees in college office
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good, there are a good number of faculty is present to help students in every branch. Some of the faculties were very helpful and knowledgable. We could interact them in class, after class and later separately when they were available and got help everytime.
