NIST- great option for retracing your career

The management is overall good, however there are some areas where improvement are still happening, All in all if you have not get iit / nit you can opt for NIST

I was confident enough of getting nit or iit but due to some bad fortune, my exams didn't go as expected, then on doing a proper research i found a very nice backup option in NIST, as they have good placement for the deserving ones and the teaching and infrastructure are really good.

Course curriculum is really good and it is becoming more better with the college getting autonomous certification, the course are industry oriented and more emphasis is given on practical problems and understanding rather than indulging in theories.

Yes, internship are offered each summer in the campus where there is more focus on research oriented works. The general stipend is 4000-6000. The experience is really cool as you get to work directly with top notch facilities in their domain.

Placement are good specifically for cse/it branch, while for the core branch students, it more depends on the caliber of the student. Average placement is approx 5 lpa while the highest ranges till 12,13 lpa. Job opportunities are available for all branches as the college has tie up with various industries and they have their center of excellence in our campus.

There are various clubs and societies in the campus which does various events at regular basis. Apart from that there is one technical fest, "Sankalp" and one cultural fest, "Waves" which are organized each year. College has coding club, literary club, quizzing club, Astronomy club, NSS and various other clubs and societies which conduct their event and also holds various informative workshops sessions time to time.

Fee structure of the college is as follows : 1,19, 000 for academic year 20,000 for hostel lodging 3200 rupees per month for mess facility. If compared with other colleges, the fee structure is feasible and even lesser than other colleges, the fees paying duration is flexible.

Yes, there are various scholarships scheme running in college for both the meritorious as well as economic deprived srudents. One can always apply for the same. Economic hardship and book grant scholarships are some among them.

Campus life is fantastic, people are here from almost every part of the country and the location and infrastructure of the college makes the campus life even more living. There are numerous extracurricular activities which are held nearly every day be it talent hunt competition, debates, social works, singing, skits, dancing, sports etc

The hostel facilities are above average with the hostels having single room,tripal seater, 5 seater and 6 seater rooms which are given to the students on the basis of choice and merit. Washroom are common but properly maintained. Mess food is not very great but it is edible and you have shopes outside to change your taste sometimes.

The college have a very strong alumni network of more than 10000 alumni who are successful in their domain across the globe. The seniors and alumni are very supportive and always helpful on demand.

The exam structure is as follows : 2 internal class test in each semester 4 assignments 4 quizzes 1 surprise test Semester exam carries 50 percent weightage of the above mentioned exam and rest 50 percent is from the final exam. The total credit in each semester is 24 approximately.

I applied through ojee, which takws the mark from jee mains only. After the seat were allocated, counseling was done and i took tge admission, all happened within 20 days of publishing of jee mains rank list. Also the students can directly contact the college and the college will do the documentation part and one will be allocated a seat if their name comes in merit list.

Faculties are the backbone of any institution and here the faculties are top class all being highly qualified having their degrees from top institutes and they also have various papers published under their name, moreover the faculties are humble, understanding and very helpful all the time.
