Course Curriculum Overview

1

the courses are mostly worthless. surely you would get some tech related courses here and there, but most of them are utter garbage in the real world. but they are undergoing pretty good changes in the recent times to match the industry standards, only issue being the faculty not willing to put good effort to make the subjects even a little bit interesting. the courses are mostly theoretical and bring little to no value in your industry skills, it's better to just pass these tests and work on your skills yourself. courses from first to 4th sem are not chosen, they are mendatory, all the more reason to hate them as some of them would be from separate depratment, which is utter useless in your career. The exams are okay at best, not that difficult and not that easy. one night stuy would give you enough marks to pass, and one week study can get you 80% marks if you are diligent enough.

Internships Opportunities

2

internships are Abyssmal. around 150 students were able to get internship in a pool of 4 to 5K students. again, the packages are good, but only few people got those. there are many companies that are unwilling to come to campus because of some certain incidents, and that definitely does not help in this time of recession in the market, and the evergrowing pool of students.

Placement Experience

2

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees is not that high as compared to private colleges. this is a plus point to this college as they also give scholarship to top scoreres and are also affiliated with various scholarship programs, you just have to be attentive enough and explore as much as you can to bag these scholarships. the complete cost would turn around to appx 9 lakh, which is decent to do a B.Tech in india.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is good here. college is at a good place, near to a lot of clubbing opportunities. you can go to Vegas mall, which is just 5 min distance from college, or you can go to Janakpuri market for any tech and non tech shopping, or you can go to Rajouri garden through metro, which is a place full of famous restraunts and clubs. the in-campus societies are good also, people are cooperative and friendly.

Admission

The admission process was through JAC, and the metric used was JEE Mains AIR. after the JAC shortlisting, you are directed to college portal and once you pay the first fee and submit the required docs, you are good to go. the admission process is not that tedious and complicated. the cutoffs are fairly high enough as this is supposedly one of the good colleges in this nation. the only bad part about admission process is that the faculty is lazy and is not cooperative at all, don't even give timely reminders to parents, causing panic and discomfort.

Faculty

0.5

The faculty is not great to most extent in this college. the teachers are arrogant and full of themselves. some of them are good, like prof. Preeti Kaur and prof. Bhatiya, but most of the prof are arrogant and unapproachable. one class would have around 60 to 65 students and it does not hamper the quality of learning, as there was no quality to begin with. the teachers are highly qualified, and that's what makes it worse. they are extremely competitive, eager to climb to the top of the hierarchy and get to IIT asap by making students make unnecessary projects, that too with novely, and at the end they take all the credit while they did nothing but give us pressure on the name of grades. I once tried to approach one prof about our academic struggles and it proved to be a disaster, he belittled me in front of the whole class. Pro tip: no prof cares about your struggles in this college, they are just happy with their regular paychecks.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
