Remarks

Overall a very good experience till now. It's one of the best college rated by Mumbai university.

Entrance Preview

I just got my admission on merit, No entrance examinations. They give admissions according to the cut offs. They judge our 12th standard marks. I scored 84. 57% and the cutoff was 78% so I got admission in BFM

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is given by Mumbai university. And it's one of the best in our country. I am still a student so I can't tell how the course is helpful in practical life. The course is a good mixture of practical and theory. Rather than other courses like BAF which focus completely on practical knowledge or BBI which has a huge part of theory.

Internships Opportunities

I am still a student and I haven't done any internships from college. I found an internship online and applied and completed that internship in 2 months.

Placement Experience

4.5

No idea, I have heard from my seniors in the college that it's good and big companies like HDFC, KPMG, ICICI, DELLOITE come to our campus.

College Events

5

There are around 25-30 clubs in our college. Each club has fixed number of events that they organise. College events like BAZAR, NUMERO UNO, PROM NIGHT, TRADITIONAL DAY, BLOOD DONATION DRIVES, TALENT PARADE etc. Are celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible like around 15- 20 thousand for a year. That is around 50-60 thousand every course except B. com which is a government aided course.

Campus Life

2.5

The campus is amazing. The college is very small so you are able to see everyone around. Doing some or the other organising work for events. They have well maintained computer labs, For sports there is a separate club. Sports council of HR college, there are various events and seminars conducted by our college for the students almost every week 2-3 seminars are conducted. Many bigger personalities like CEO's of various companies give lectures.

Hostel Facilities

4

There is no hostel around the campus. But there are a few hostels at a distance of 5km from our college.

Alumni/Alumna

No experience about this so I can't answer this question but it's a compulsory question in your questionnaire. I am just filling this as it says the answer must be of 150 characters or more.

Exam Structure

The exam pattern is 75+25. 75 marks are for the theoretical exam. 25 are again divided as 20 + 5. 20 for projects/internals and 5 for class participation and attendance.

Faculty

3.5

I would rate the faculty as 3. 5/5. The reason is they don't have a permanent faculty. Almost 60% of the faculty in my course is a visiting faculty.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
