Remarks

Mait is overall a nice college. It would offer you the same opportunities like the govt colleges if you have talent and ambition. There are huge pile of examples of people who have been placed brilliantly through mait.

Entrance Preview

I took ipu CET. I had scored 1527 rank for which i was offered IT branch in 3rd round of counselling. I opted this college because i knew it has a good name and placements and it certainly the most valuable college in IPU.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is not updated since ages. There need to be more modern and technologically advanced methods and therefore the research oriented curriculum could be induced. Moreover, the curriculum is decided by ipu which owns like 20 colleges. Therefore the change is difficult to implement.

Internships Opportunities

No mait has no such provision. Students have to indulge in internship programs themselves. General stipend that CSE or IT students get depends on their program and talent.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement at mait is pleasant. Mait reserves the name of best institute in ipu. And ranks 10 in top 10 private institution of India. For that Reason, it has to pay back the student by offering 100% placements ( name sake) . Placement in 2017 was somewhat like- Average placement:- 3.5 lpa Highest placement:- 10.5lpa By Amazon Mass Recruiters:- Infosys, TCS, Accenture, wypro These firms almost took 90 % of the CSE and IT students.

College Events

4.5

"Event and fest" Do not exist at Mait. For name sake, annual fest takes place where college tries to save money as much as it can and hires the most unknown artist to sing and perform. ANUGOONJ, the collaborative cultural fest of IPU is large scale festival that attracts students from outside ipu as well. That is worth a visit.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee at ipu is very affordable. In spite of being private institution, mait and other ipu colleges have very low fee. Which is even lesser than many govt. Colleges in India. For instance, Mait has 1.15 lacs for first year which drops to 90k in second year, according to trend.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about loan facility at mait or even if it exists or not. I don't think mait offers such facilities.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio in btech is very poor. Almost 1:10 . But as mait offers many courses like BBA BCA LLB MBA, where the gender ratio is brilliant which compensate the low rate in btech. As whole the crowd at mait is very nice and humble. Like i said the people at mait are those who score top ranks in ipu. Therefore the people here are not bullies or arrogant. Its very nice to be at mait campus

Hostel Facilities

3

I did not take hostel so i cannot comment upon that but as i hear from my hosteler friends, the hostel is only offered to boys and is over priced as it does not offer that much facilities. Girls have to take PG. Major PG for girls is Maharaja sadan which is just 300 mts away from mait. Here the fee is 80-90k for sharing room of 2. The mess at PG and mait hostel are both below average and over priced.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not quite strong. Senior students are very helpful but are very rarely available due to their hectic schedule and internships.

Exam Structure

Labs are very frequent and hectic. Exam structure is like internals happen once which is of 25 marks and have 2 units in syllabus. They are not the havoc. External exams are real disasters and almost ruins your whole month. Labs happen everyday (2 hours each day). The lab assistant are not helpful at all and won't help you in your external exams. They, in turn, are arrogant even more than teachers.

Admission

The online counselling session was procedural. The choice filling was done beforehand where aspirant fills the hierarchy of preferred institutions and corresponding branches in ipu. Then a college visit with testimonials for verification. Then you submit the later instalment of fee and that's how you get admitted.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty at Mait is nice. Teachers are humble, knowledgeable, and firm in their approach of alloting marks to students. You cannot expect full marks if you haven't attended all lectures and have not submitted all assignments on time. There are like 30 teachers for 700 student in first year.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
