Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is inclusive of everything, as the college is autonomous, it has the liberty to design its curriculum accordingly, which in my opinion is a great thing as the college is able to provide the students what is really required and relevant in the world outside. The exams are also conducted in the best possible way as there is a 60-40 approach. 60 marks are external which is a written exam and 40 are internal which each subject teacher provides based on various things such as class presentations, students participation, attendance, etc.

Placement Experience

4

I dont have idea about the placements as of now because they are available after ty and im in ty now. Based on what i have heard, good companies come with their offers. The package varies based on the knowledge of the student and the level of work they get.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides placement. The packages are around 3- 4lpa. The fee structure is quite simple, it has tuition fee, library fee, gymkhana, canteen fee, etc. It increases every year for 3 years. In the last year the fee differs from student to student depending on what optional subject they chose, if it is something like IT, the fee is obviously more because of the use of computers and conduct of it practicals etc otherwise it remains the same for all the students.

Campus Life

3.5

It is a wonderful experience, even though the campus is very small compared to what other colleges provide the experience is wonderful, the staff might scold you sometimes but other than that is a nice place to be and nothing really matters if you have a good company therefore finding good friends is important in college.

Admission

The admission process was very simple for me as i got in-house admission because i did my 11th and 12th from the same college. It is easy for outsiders too because the college has its own website and students don't have to physically visit the college for each update which makes it very hassle free.

Faculty

3

The faculty is great throughout the course of three years, the only reason they lack the determination to teach in the best possible way is that students do not attend the lectures. There are 120 students in a class and hardly 20 to 30 ever show up which demotivates the faculty, when you attend the lecture it is a wonderful experience as they are very interactive and ready to provide whatever the students need

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
