Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well our college is affiliated to MAKAUT so they don't have a lot of control over it. most core subjects are relevant and very applicable. There are however some subjects in the 1st year that I would say are not very interesting and related to our branch. There are 4 CA exams 2 PCA(practical) exams and a semester exam every six month. The time that is given is sufficient to prepare for the exams and the frequency ensures that you gradually build you skill level to tackle your semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many companies that come provide internship with stipends in our college like Intel, Virtusa, Informatica, RTS Power, Supreme, Ultratech Cement, Exide, Shyam Group, Dynamic digital technologies. Some coding related projects were done to create different kinds of softwares, for electrical related branches people made many kinds of innovative devices. The outcome was to teach students to convert their knowledge about their respective branches into an actionable plan to create products of real world value so that when they step into the corporate world they are able to meetup with demands of the most recent times.

Placement Experience

3.5

You are eligible too takre campus placements dfrom 7th semester onwards. The companies that visited were TCS,Wipro, Infosis, Cognizant, etc. 500+ offers were made. Highest package was 22 lakhs per anum and average was 3.5 lakh. About 70 % of the students were placed. I plan on going for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is as I said not too high and comparitively lowere than other colleges. I don't know much about the policies of fee increase. The total fee is 4,03,195. The they also take 10,000 rupees as a security charges. These might be some other charges too related to library, etc. SVMCM scholarship is awarded to people who are of poor financial background. But the thing is that you should not get backlog is any of the semesters or the financial aid that you are reciving will be stopped. I have not yet taken part in any campus employment activitie so I am not aware.

Campus Life

0.5

Recently we had a tech fest around april students showed their technological creations, there were lots of groups doing different activities, many people participated showing their innovative skills. Another fest was more about different competitions, people of many different groups took part in these activities. These fests take place around April-May. A lot of good books are available in libraries, all kinds of engineering related books from all different branches are available. They are easily available to anyone with a library card and you can get one made from the library office easily. Class rooms are also awesome, there are projectors to teach students using laptop or tablet. There are a lot of innovative clubs in our college, like Hardware club, many programing related clubs and groups. Competitions are held all the time, people are give certificates and prizes if they win as well.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are decent, the hostel for 1st year students are seperate. proper rooms are provided for students, beds, etc. Bathrooms are good, clean and well maintained. Meal quality is normal as you would expect from any hostle. On some days people get non-veg items. On most days you get common north indian food items. The registration of hostel accommodation is done along with the admission process. I would say that the hostels are affordable and is a good option if you don't live in the city. There are however some PGs also available outside the college campus but there are not many of them.

Admission

So when I took admission back in 2023 the Eligiblity of the course was may be to get above 45% over all in your 12th board exams. I am not aware of the current scenario. I got admission through wbjee examination and my rank was not very good (around 60K) but I still got the college(electrical engineering). The application of wbjee can be filled online and you can search more for the dates as they keep changing. But the examinaion is cundocted once a year. Also search online for the current applicaton fee. I did not avail any reservation benifits. The exam I would say is easier than wbjee level and provides a good chance of getting into a decent college. The admission process was very good actually and I can't suggest any improvements.

Faculty

4

The faculties are decent, the teach very well and open to solving any doubts. There are about 50 people in our branch so the learning experience is quite good. The teachers are friendly and encourage you to ask for help if you have any problem. They guide us properly to cover the chapters effectively. They provide us with sufficient time to take notes too. Overall I am very happy with the learning experience.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
