- Students are offered with loads of new opportunities to excel themselves in various field apart from their courses, like stage acting, dance , music, debate. Theatre club is the most appreciated club in the university as it bring the innovative ideas
- University also provide opportunities to be part of national tournament ,Like AIU. NCC is also introduced to students who are willing to opt for it can be part of the enthusiastic journey of ncc which provides national camps also .
- Faculty’s are really good with students, also give their best to make student comfortable . Well and highly experienced faculty’s are provided.
Dislikes
- Being a semi government university it take lots of time to take actions on complaints regarding repairing of washrooms and sitting areas
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always suggested to be a part of a government university, I was always curious about the history of Shakespeare, John Milton, John Keats, and other novelists, poets, and writers who want to explore studies and choose English to study the depth of it. Doon University is a famous university for the language courses it serves. The improvement needed is that children who have stage fairs should be given more opportunities to express themselves, and students should asked to compose their own material. The examination timings are flexible and are composed and performed according to the legibility of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is well maintained according to semi-government-affiliated courses. The university also provides with scholarships. And the university conducts an examination based on it for scholarships. My fee is 17000 per semester and it's a 4 year program including research.
Campus Life
My university experience till now is very well and I have explored many new things. The fests keep taking place during the festive season like Diwali fest, Holi fest, Navratri fest, and many more. The university also provides inter-department sports events like(Sangram). Students also run a social club MAD and conduct cleanliness drives.
Admission
The eligibility of courses is different for every course. For language, it's 12 passes with 60%. The university itself conducts its entrance examination. All the dear ails are available on the official website of Doon University.
Faculty
The faculties are very well experienced with high knowledge. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:18. The faculties make all the possible extra efforts to help students grow and also encourage students to face challenges and provide students with proper guidance and authority. The student-friendly environment is provided by faculties to make students comfortable and to understand their grasping ability. For me as an individual, my relations with my faculty are always good I approach them without hesitation for an extra 30 min sessions after class and they also provide me with homework to polish and enhance my skills. Being in touch with the highly qualified faculties is a major help in my graduation journey.
