Admission to the MBA program at Chitkara Business School is based only on the merit ranking in CAT/ CUT/XAT/MAT/ CMAT, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. I had took "CUT" . Being an Average student still managed to get 4th Rank. I had done bachelor degree and got work experience of 2 years. I had met with human resource manager of various companies and found that professional degree after work experience is good for career. Chitkara is a reputed university and had strong hold in education sector.

Course Curriculum was a weekly affair, one course per week, 92 courses in 2 years. It was more of practical nature rather than theoretical. Analytic and quantitative methodology hands-on learning and real world problem solving skills is being used. There was lot of self confidence building and training to ready us for corporate world. Focus of research is being on upcoming or relevant business strategies.

Chitkara had invited more than 90 companies for internship placements. HCL, Times of India, Pepsico Gsk, Hindustan Unilever, Godrej, banking companies and FMCG had came for internship placement. Stipend offered was 12000- 15000 initially.

Final Placement was good for everyone, some got placed through there own sources. There was 100% placements. Banking, FMCG, Service sector companies had came for final placements.Companies like pepsico, Trident group, Big bazaar, Airtel, Idea, reliance, HDFC, ICICi, Times of India, ITC, Vodaphone, etc had came to campus for job placements. They had offered 2.5 to 4.5 lac per Annum.

Street plays, Techelone, Aautofiesta, Algorythm Management Questions are the ones which are organized every year on campus. There are lot of other festivals which keep on going on campus which keep everyone life enlightened.

There were scholarship available for backward/SC/ST. but they had to apply to state government. For poor and meritorious students half of student fees is waived off.

Campus life was pretty much good with gender ratio of 50-50. Students from abroad came to campus on student exchange program. Chitkara Library had got even there e-learning website and you can order e-books from your laptop. Digital library is well maintained.

Hostels are tidy with sharing but they are neat and clean. Mess food is just a mess and they even served raw rice. Food at Chitkara was never good. Hotel and mess fees were 60,000 per semester.

Chitkara Alumni network is pretty much strong and they invite us every year on alumni meets. Senior students are humble and always helped us in presentations and to tackle the pressure.

Most of the faculty was from abroad from reputed colleges around the world, so we had got good international coverage as well. Most of the faculty was doctorate in there respective fields and it was kinda fun to learn as they were humble and eager to teac
