- Attendance Policy . There is no such attendance policy here and you can come anytime in campus , no such restiction is there , you have a lot of free time so u can do coding or prepare for gate
- Flexibility to choose exam dates yes semester date as well as we like . So we cab have 2-3 days break per semester exam , so there will not be situation to wake up nights on coffee
Dislikes
- Old school way of teaching , no lab instrument is good
- Quite bad classroom facility no smart board are there
Course Curriculum Overview
I got a rank and on my rank, I had 2 options either ETCE or IT, since IT is on the Salt Lake campus and the place is very dull I mean not much interaction is possible, so I chose ETCE since ETCE has a lot of higher studies opportunity as well. The course curriculum is good and up-to-date.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is much less, it is negligible thanks to the student union for it, I mean 2500 per year except IT department, where fees are 30,000 per year, Scholarships are provided, and the SVMCM scholarship is available, 60000 per year.
Campus Life
Campus life is so chill, no restriction is there to wear an ID card, yes you can come to campus without an ID card, and no one will ask for it. Seniors are friendly. So be happy if you get into the university. It's so much fun in JU, lots of FEST are there at Jadavpur University. Science, Arts, Engineering, yes three union fests are there, you can enjoy very much in January to April. Life is very good at Jadavpur University. sports are there, basketball and football cricket badminton tennis, there are a lot of outdoor games there. Clubs are there like Photographic, Coding, Science, E - Cell and many more like debating society, and fashion society. There is no such technology available in the classroom as no funding is being given by the central or state government.
Admission
60+ marks in Maths and overall 60% in class 12th is necessary for Admission in BE degree, for Pharmacy only Chemistry, Physics is needed. Reservation OBC, ST, SC, EWS is available. Yearly wbjee occurs once in the month of April. The admission process is taken care of by the WBJEE board which sucks, so what can I say about it, the government is corrupted
Faculty
The faculty is highly qualified and very good, but they don't teach everything thoroughly, only a few departmental proff are quite good, they are much better than any youtube teacher. Teachers are quite helpful, its the administration that makes all the problem
