Course Curriculum Overview
I was a Science student, but I almost failed in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in my Higher Secondary Final Exam. I had a keen interest in life science. So I selected Zoology and Botany as my Major and Minor Subjects. I love Animals and plants and always wanted to learn much more about them. So, I chose this subject and I scored almost 9 CGPA in 1st year. That boosted my confidence and I just can't wait to explore this world of Zoology and Botany more. After choosing these subjects we got to do many field studies. There are 3 main exams in each semester - 2 sessional and 1 final. The difficulty level is based on how you've prepared yourself for the exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
We only paid on our 1st semester,i.e., 5490 something. But for people whose parents don't have govt. jobs or the salary is less than 2 lakh per annum, for them admission is free, but they need to provide an income certificate of their respective guardian for proof and a picture of the student where he/she is planting a tree.
Campus Life
So, the college organises less but good functions. Every classroom has digital learning equipments. NCC training is there. There is helpdesk of seniors that helps juniors in their admission and overall processes. There is student union, which is quite impressive and helpful.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is just that you need to pass your H.S. final exam with more than 55%. You can apply for the exam in assamsamarth.online website provided by the govt. of Assam. The overall information is listed in the college websites and the samarth website. Earlier, I mentioned about the frequency of exams along with my perspective on their difficulty level. The admission process is smooth.
Faculty
Our faculty (Zoology department) is really commendable. Our HOD treat us like his daughters. He is a genius. Everyday we get to learn new things theoretically and practically. We have 5 professors in our department. Each of them is really supportive and helpful. They provide us readymade notes, also guide us and tell us how to achieve our goals in life.
