Likes
- Education culture, Faculties with their behaviour, also the amenities and facilities provided to us .One of the great thinking of Upes is to give the internship opportunities from 1st year only , also providing the projects and helping to work in it
- Their departments made for students and for the college welfare like DSW(Dean of student welfare) , for discipline they introduce their discipline committee (DC) which take care of the students behaviour and makes the campus Better.
- College sports is one of the great point to talk as UPES gives the good sports culture with good and sophisticated playing areas, with gym . Also the food court is one of the hottest topic with comparison to another colleges in dehradun and Delhi .
Dislikes
- There is not more to be disliking in Upes but we can say that the fests and cultural program can be more creative and good .
Course Curriculum Overview
There are many courses in various visions and in various colleges but in UPES, we used to see the courses and the course curriculum is very helpful and straightforward with the courses, no waste of time subjects are there as in other colleges.
Internships Opportunities
In the first year you are serving with social internships with no any pay it's just to enhance your skills and work life. The internships that are paid are of various types based on the coding languages or in another field with a normal stipend starting with 25k the companies are IBM, Potterstech, Ongc, Indigo, etc.
Placement Experience
After your internships every year which gives a boost to your resume, Upes provides you with placement or paid training internships in the big companies. And also UPES provides you with lifetime placement assistance. It also has criteria for the placement eligibility.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are normal I didn't face any such hikes in my bachelor's time. In the bachelor's the complete cost will be around 30 lakhs of the btech and if you are answering uttarakhand citizens, then you would get 30% off in tution fees. There are scholarships made after 9 cgpa in every year.
Campus Life
The overall experience in campus activities is the best in UPES. One of the events is wow Wednesday which is organized every Wednesday for some entertainment dance singing and many more things. There are various activities like Holi celebrations Diwali celebrations, dandiya night, Agaaz, and cultural programs. Annual fest urja is famous in upes Also sports meet spandan is too good here. And clubs are amazing depend on your hobbies there are social , coding, entertainment, innovation clubs in the upes.
Admission
Actually, you had to qualify Upes entrance examination and every course se has its own eligibility criteria in which you have to stand. The entrance examination is not such difficult it's along with the normal questions of class 12.
Faculty
Faculties are very humble and good in behavior-wise and also help students to grow, who want support in anything in college some faculty to support and help the student with the topic . Faculty used to teach digitally and upload all the study material in the LMS portal. We can interact with teachers any time in college via calling them and taking time or if we want can also consult via call or email.
