Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum of the course is very well designed which is actually remarkable Mos of the time, the course is completed in the given time duration and the exams are also taken at the given times only But since we had elections this time, the course time period was shortened, but the course length wasn't so we had to study more in less time which was obviously not a good experience on my side, they should've atleast decreased some topics for the exam so that we could've performed at our fullest The teaching methods are good, we even had practical labs for some subjects which actually increased our understandings as well Many teachers teach us not only on the perspective of exam, but for real life problem solving as well Being a CSE student, we're supposed to solve problems by computer is what I've learnt in the past one year

Internships Opportunities

4

So, I'm just in second year so I don't know much about these things, but I've heard about this from my seniors that in 4th semester, JPMC approached the campus for hiring interns but they had a very high stakes of cutoffs for their interns, they set a criteria of a min of 8.5 CGPA and only CSE undergrads can apply, like even if a giy from ECE with good knowledge in cse was not eligible

Placement Experience

4

The placement of the college were excellent until 2021, infact for CSE , they're still at their best But for the other branches, they're declining rapidly, the ECE placements are getting worse year after year, most of their people are opting for non core and thus are forgetting their own branch For my own branch CSE The highest package for year 2023 was 52 lpa, while the average package was 16.5lpa which on my opinion is pretty good Almost 84% of students got placed in cse branch this year According to me, after i get the degree, most certainly I'm expecting to get a job as well, but if I don't, i might approach to a company like JPMC , or doordash, or maybe walmart or something and then for future I'd prepare myself for top companies, I'm dreaming currently to get a job in NVIDIA

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah some people had a thing called fee remission which is supposed to be given to the students whose family income is less than 8LPA, like they return some amount of tution fees back to the students depending on their situations, but apparently I didn't like the fact that businessmen or people with some sort of properties like landlords, factory owners had great amounts of income but since on paper they had written less than 8lpa, they've got the remission, and my father works as a government employee,we. Didn't got it, maybe this is a issue I'd like to highlight As a second year undergrad, I haven't yet got any job opportunities, but i wish i get someday very soon But yeah, I'd say overall the course is very affordable, like including the mess and tution fees and hostel fees, the entire btech course is completed in around 8 lakh rupees(obviously if I don't get a year back) which is actually very affordable than other engineering colleges

Campus Life

4.5

The fests in the college are crazzy, we have two annual fests, one is MINDBEND which is a technicak fest and another one is SPARSH which is a literary/ cultural fest The mindbend is Gujarat's biggest techno managerial fest with lots of fun contests and workshops and it's an absolute great experience, while i personally don't like to party too much, so sparsh is kind of not of my taste so i usually don't show my presence there We have a beautiful central library which has all the books we need for studies, and for the betterment, our seniors and profs even provide us with the pdf of these books as well so that we don't need to take regular stops at library Sports facilities are good for some sports like badminton basketball volleyball etc and for some sports like cricket football, they can only be played when not monsoon as the field is submerged with water during this period so...

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The mess meal is very much appetizing at the start of the year, but it gets worse as the year passes, we've even found insects in our meals, and also parasites in water coolers The only thing i loved about the mess is that they don't serve non vegetarian food ever, cuz I'm a very much of a vegetarian guy and can't even smell those foods The hostel registration process was very smooth no complains about that The rooms were pretty good, i mean we never much cared about the rooms, the memories made there was the thing we cared about The local areas don't have much PGs or anything as the campus of SVNIT is pretty big and they've got 9 hostels in totla + a guest house for outsiders so we never needed to rent a locality

Admission

The admission process was lengthy, but very secured, I entered by giving an exam called JEE MAINS The eligibility took 2 criterias, one was the rank criteria and second was the board percentage cruteria In 12th boards, i was supposed to get more than 75% of marks of the three main subjects PCM, and also a language subject and a subject other than that, and in JEE i was supposed to be under the closing rank of my programme in order to get the course The process of admission was indeed lengthy but I don't think that's an issue as it was to ensure our course was secured I certainly got my seat in Obc category The exams were not very difficult, but were always on the medium side which is fair enough Maybe they should build a big hall for physical verifications as they always do this physical reporting at some department which ended in very much of crowding

Faculty

3.5

Every class capacity ranges from around 60 to 80, and as far as I've seen, almost every class has a positive vibe Most of the profferssors are helpful to all the students and teach us very patiently, but as always, there are a few exceptions of profs which have a very negative or you can say bad ego and attitude which I personally don't like Many teachers give such a good and pleasant vibe that we never felt anxious while approaching for any sort of questions, they gladly helped us out.

Other Applied Colleges

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology - [DA-IICT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Information and Communication Technology)

Because CSE was like a subject of interest for me so i had to choose it rather than DAIICT

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.
