Tourism course in kurukshetra university.

In Kurukshetra University to take admissions specially in graduation streams there is an entrance exam is taken by the University same in my case of BTM (Bachelor of Tourism Management) course i given the entrance exam and got selected for admissions to the course through the merit list then the course fees is submitted by me in the University bank and the Identity card given to me by the University office.

The curriculum of the course was most probably related to the tourism 90% of the subjects were related to the tourism and the other 10% to general english there were total 36 subjects in the 6 semesters(3 years) and some training work the faculty was good in teaching and all the teachers were very cooperative especially department head Mrs. Renu Malra they also given motivational lectures at time to time with the study lectures.

There was no companies came for the college internships me and all the other class students selected in the various companies on their own efforts i was selected for the college internship in Top Travels Limited in New Delhi the company was good and reputed but they only offered me the 1500 stipend for 45 days.

In the job placement various companies came and around 10 students selected the main companies were the Indigo regency travels etc 3 selected by Indigo and 10 selected by regency travels the regency offered 1,50,000 per annum to the most students and indigo offered 1,70,000 thousand to students.

Kurukshetra University is known for Its cultural events in all india there were so many cultural events in the kurukshetra university during my course period some of them were "Ratnawali and Youth festivals" and they were on bigger level many teams from haryana state and from other states of india participated in it.

The fee structure of the university was of both types for some courses it was feasible and for some expensive but for the most of the courses it was on the expensive side and same in the case of mine course the fees was expensive containing the various unknown charges in the fees slip for the students.

There were many scholarships were provided in the university but the problem with the scholarships was that most of the scholarships were availed for the BC,SC,ST students not for the general students. The main scholarship was the rajiv gandhi scholarship it was provided to both Graduate and Post Graduate students there were no loan facility was available in that time in the university.

The campus life was good there were many quiz competitions, i also participated in them. In sports there were many competitions of Cricket and Basketball. I enjoyed them as an university student and as an audience also. Gender ratio is ok, specialy girls ratio is higher that is a good thing for education. There were hostel parties and i also attended my hostel and college parties and enjoyed a lot. In political point of view there were students elections in the university and also workers and faculty elections. From economic point of view kurukshetra university is very important.

In case of hostels it was not that good the rooms of the hostels were very old styled and in worst conditions there were the need of a lot of maintenance work. The rooms were on the sharing basis, two persons were to stay in one room. The food of the mess

Our seniors were very coopertive and helpful they always showed their helping hands whenever i needed in study help or other work my relation was also good with all the seniors especially with Navdeep and Rakesh there were many interactions with the seniors and alumnies one thing that our seniors were always remain in group.

Exam structure of kurukshetra university were ok but most of the time they taken exam very early in every semester. The exam timings and other things were ok but in the case of labs it was worst the conditions of the labs was not up to the level of a univ
